McClatchy flashback -- Anchorage Daily News covers the birth of Trig Palin

Here is an excerpt from an Alaska Daily News article this past April on the birth of Sarah Palin's 5th child:

The Palin family issued a statement that read: "Trig is beautiful and already adored by us. We knew through early testing he would face special challenges, and we feel privileged that God would entrust us with this gift and allow us unspeakable joy as he entered our lives."

Asked what special challenges the family was referring to, Leighow said, "It's a family matter, and that information should come from the governor herself."

Later that week, the ADN reported Trig was diagnosed with Down Syndrome.

On his website, Left-wing pundit Alan Colmes blamed Sarah Palin for Trig's condition. (Colmes has taken down the offending post but This Ain't Hell has the screenshots.) Classy, Colmes.
