McClatchy reports McCain pulling ahead in Missouri

McClatchy says McCain has lengthened his lead in Missouri -- he is now ahead of Obama 49 to 45 percent.

I believe McCain's strength in battleground states is under-reported.
.
You want data? Here are two other key states where McCain is leading Obama: Ohio (48 to 42), and Virginia (McCain up 2.3% in RealClearPolitics average).
.
Of course, these are states Obama lost to Hillary in the Dem primaries.

One exception is Pennsylvania -- Obama lost the Dem primary there, but currently leads McCain -- by only 2 points. But McCain is ahead in Florida (47 to 45). And in Michigan, a state where Obama should have a big lead, he is ahead by only one point.

Events can change in the weeks before the election, and we will see more fluctuations. But I think the Dem primaries exposed Obama's weaknesses in several states that he needs to win.
