Did the headline writer have dyslexia?

Check out this headline at the Kansas City Star web site. Not a major deal -- but certainly another sign of deterioration. Hat tip and photo via State of the Line.

Wow -- you found a typo on the Internet. Great work.

That typo probably comes from a salary about $50,000.

Yesterday it was the wrong dog. Couple weeks ago it was a 2 week old stock page. Etc. Etc. Etc.

Do you see a pattern here of I DON"T CARE and they don't.

Typo, or hospice bed wetting? I'll let MNI's stock price be the judge.

We have a winner. It has come down to this phase now.

Old Doc Anon says: "They're gonna be ok". (But in Private)

"Give em plenty of whatever they want, and call the casket maker"

All signs that no one is minding the store.

The KC bloggers are the best. The Red Scar is getting the scrutiny it should have had for years. Once someone brought out the red marking pencil, the Scar gets a failing grade day after day. I don’t think for one minute that these little mistakes are the only slipshod work going on, it just the most visible. So, the old dinosaur-journos dislike the new blogger-journos, who cares what a bunch of old fossils think ?

The KC bloggers make it clear that you don't need the biased Red Star for your local news. Zee, get out of town already.

Don’t forget to tell Zee to take his ‘three tire’ wife with him when he exits KC.

I wish I could attend the staff meeting where Zieman whines about the need for staff layoffs. He can start with how his lame wife was paid one 'Red' cent for her garbage column. What a phony he is. A total and complete phony!

Did anyone ever expect anything useful out of Zieman? After all, they posted two different Bio's for him on the same day he was hired. The real one, outlining his sales history and the revision eliminating it completely.

Anon 7:30: "Three tire" is quasi retired

'Three Tire' leads Zee around like a dog. She just got tangled up in the leash. These dogs need to GO.

"Three tire" is quasi retired”

Re-tired could mean her 4th tire has been replaced, and she is freewheeling again. It is the amount of retreads at the Red Scar that already worries me.

“…they posted two different Bio's for him…”

One for each man that registers to vote, ya think?

Zieman is a loser, everyone knows that. It’s only that Pruitt is a loser himself, does Z still fits the MNI mold.

"...you found a typo on the Internet.."

You mean every day a typo is found. It is just the tip of the iceberg. No one gives a good damn about quality anymore. Surely you see that?

Nope, they found a typo on the front page headline story. Something never seen until recently. Now an all too common event for a so called paper of record.

You would think the Scar editors would double check everything now that they know so many readers are tired of this shit they call news.

Or maybe it is a cry for help?
Where is our experienced one? Why are simple errors slipping along so often? Who the hell is in charge?

Anonymous said...

His name would be Chris Christian.

haha! VP of Audience and Circulation?

Now there is a guy that needs to have some long sleepless nights!
