Layoffs in Macon

McClatchy employees at The Macon Telegraph are getting the axe. From comments:

I just lost my job @ The Macon Telegraph in Macon Ga. I must say, what a sorry sorry company to work for... Anything tied to McClatchy is a rotten egg. No one's job is safe in this company. If you can get out, go while you can. The shaft is being handed out.

These Macon layoffs appear unrelated to McClatchy's announcement from earlier this month of $100 - $110 million in cuts. The Telegraph previously announced 58 employees would be laid off in conjunction with moving printing operations to Columbus. If you have more info, leave it in comments.
