This blog is mainly about the spectacular train wreck at The Sacramento Bee and its parent company, the McClatchy Company. But I also post about current events, the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, politics, anything else that grabs my attention. Take a look around this blog, hope you enjoy it.

I wonder, could we get some input from out 2k commission tycoon on this....or has he already been canned?
The agencies have been asking for this concession for years, because other newspapers offer it to them. Who knows how much agency business we COULD have had in the past. But now in this economy, with employment advertising so far in the toilet, the point seems moot. Still even $5-6 million more a year is better than nothing.
Things are still good at the FWST sir 4:56. The point to the initital post was to add some balance to the incessant whining from people as well as to refute those who, at least our moderator, thinks that the ad staff couldn't get a job as a bank teller. I believe that I made that comment about a month ago and for you to still quote it has me wondering how bad things could be for you. Turn the page man, move on to other comments.
Give him a break 7:08, at least he did not mention Goebbels or call you a marxist.
Kevin, from the amount of comments you are getting it looks as though it is now just you, John, Dave and the old guy that likes to talk about Goebbels. Nice job on building readership! Maybe the 4 of you could get together and burn a cross. Your still the same loser you were before you got fired from the Bee.
