Obama won the election on the 'Stupid' strategy, why wouldn't he think it will work again?

The 'Stupid' Strategy
New York Post, by Rich Lowry

THE Obama team is saddled with a foundering health- care strategy. But it has a fallback plan -- relying on the sheer dimwitted gullibility of the American public. How stupid do they think we are? Stupid enough to think that a new $1 trillion health-care entitlement is just the thing to restore the country to fiscal health.

Obama's Approval "All Wee-Weed" Up... Down to 45% Via Drudge

Barack Obama insisted today to an audience of supporters and union thugs that the euphoria of Hopenchange was here to stay.
Breitbart reported:

US President Barack Obama launched a mocking counter-attack Thursday at pundits who believe the euphoric early promise of his presidency is evaporating amid bitter political warfare.

Obama, who has watched his poll ratings dip sharply over recent months, drew comparisons to his 2008 presidential campaign, which was several times all but written off by media experts who set prevailing political wisdom.

Then Obama drew parallels to the media frenzy that greeted the nomination of firebrand Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin in 2008.

"The media was obsessed with it, cable was 24 hours a day," Obama told a friendly audience of grass-roots Democratic activists at a Washington forum broadcast live over the web.

"'Obama's lost his mojo,' you remember all that?

"There is something about August going into September where everybody in Washington gets all wee weed up!"

Fortunately for Obama the democrat-media complex was there to destroy Sarah Palin for him last year.

Unfortunately for Obama he gave this speech right before Zogby released their latest numbers which show that Dear Leader has dropped to a 45% approval rating-- a new alltime low for the young president 6 months into office.

More bad news... President Barack Obama gets a 47 - 48 percent approval rating from Florida voters, down from 58 - 35 percent June 10, according to a Quinnipiac University poll released today.

His response, accompanied by laughter, was, “Somebody’s got to do it.” Today, even though Scruggs is in jail,...

Obama Healh Care Exposed on FactCheck.org

Keep Your Insurance? Not Everyone.

Obama's claim depends on what employers would likely do under several legislative scenarios.

President Obama has repeatedly said that under the health care overhaul efforts in Congress, "if you like your health care plan, you keep your health care plan." But he can’t make that promise to everyone.

In fact, under the House bill, some employers might have to modify plans after a five-year grace period if they don’t meet minimum benefits standards.

The Washington Post’s Harold Meyerson is wrong on trade.

National Review, by Daniel Ikenson
During the past few years, America has grown increasingly averse to trade. This trend is the product of myths perpetuated by campaigning politicians, captured policymakers, TV charlatans, and woefully ill-informed newspaper columnists. Harold Meyerson always comes to mind as emblematic of this last category, so his fallacy-laden diatribe about the decline of U.S. manufacturing in Wednesday’s Washington Post is par for the course. Meyerson makes a few claims that cannot be allowed to stand.

Obama: Republican Conspiracy Out to Kill Health Reform (Washington Times)

President Obama took to the conservative airwaves Thursday to charge that Republican leaders are engaged in a vast right-wing conspiracy to kill health care reform in order to repeat the 1994 mid-term takeover of Congress, which followed the defeat of President Clinton's reform plan.

"I think early on, a decision was made by the Republican leadership that said, 'Look, let's not give him a victory, maybe we can have a replay of 1993, '94, when Clinton came in, he failed on health care and then we won in the mid-term elections and we got the majority.
And I think there are some folks who are taking a page out that playbook," the president said.

Appearing on the Michael Smerconish radio show, Mr. Obama said he would "love to have more Republicans engaged and involved in this process," but he vowed to win the battle, with or without support from the minority party in Congress.

Um, you’re the ‘Leader of the Free World’, and you claim a mandate for absolute control over the most powerful nation on Earth (”I won..”), have majorities in both Houses of Congress, and you still play the ‘Victim’ card?

Does he never realizes how snivelling and slimy this makes him look?

Poll: Americans losing confidence in Obama (AP/YahooNews)

WASHINGTON – A new poll says that Americans, concerned over the future of health care reform and anxious about the growing federal budget deficit, are losing faith in President Barack Obama.

The Washington Post-ABC News survey found that less that half of Americans — 49 percent — say they believe the president will make the right decisions for the country. That's down from 60 percent at the 100-day mark of the Obama presidency.

Just goes to show what happens when you promise unicorns for all and then you don't deliver.

NY Times: Karl Marx Is Back in Vogue

New York Times book critic Dwight Garner wrote recently that Karl Marx is back in vogue, adding that the founding communist comes across as a "jovial man of outsize appetites" in Tristram Hunt’s new biography "Marx’s General."

Garner opened the review by insisting that decrying capitalism is now hip again:

"Thanks to globalism’s discontents and the financial crisis that has spread across the planet, Karl Marx and his analysis of capitalism’s dark, wormy side are back in vogue."

Flustered Obama a 'wee' bit touchy during dog days (Washington Times)

Mired in the summer of his discontent, President Obama on Thursday coined a new phrase for the absurdity of a Washington August, when lawmakers and lobbyists vacation outside the Beltway but pollsters and chatterers go right on polling and chattering.

"There's something about August going into September where everybody in Washington gets all wee-wee'd up," the world's most powerful man observed. "I don't know what it is, but that's what happens."

So, it made perfect sense that, during wee wee'd Washington's "silly season," the president took to the conservative radio airwaves to declare that he wants a bipartisan fix for America's health care system and that a federal takeover is just "an option."

Just seven months in office, the legendarily cool Mr. Obama is in the throes of a summer meltdown.

THE 'STUPID' STRATEGY: HEALTH-REFORMERS' LAST HOPE (NY Post)

THE Obama team is saddled with a foundering health- care strategy. But it has a fallback plan -- relying on the sheer dimwitted gullibility of the American public. How stupid do they think we are?

Stupid enough to think that a new $1 trillion health-care entitlement is just the thing to restore the country to fiscal health.

Stupid enough not to realize that it is through budget trickery -- the taxes begin immediately, the spending is put off for a few years -- that the program in the House shows "only" a $239 billion deficit over the first 10 years.

Stupid enough to think increased preventive care will save the government money, just because President Obama constantly repeats it despite all the studies to the contrary.

Stupid enough not to worry that Obama's proposed superteam of technocrats operating outside normal political controls -- the so-called Independent Medicare Advisory Council -- will resort to rationing when costs spiral upward.

Stupid enough to consider it wise to use several billion dollars in cuts from Medicare to create an entitlement rather than to forestall Medicare's own looming insolvency, now projected for 2017

Stupid enough to believe that we'll be able to keep our current health-care arrangements if we like them, even though the public option could throw tens of millions of people out of private insurance.

Stupid enough to credit Obama's assurances that the Democrats' reform isn't about government intervention in the health-care system when -- even without the public option -- it all-but-nationalizes health insurance.

Stupid enough not to see through Obama's sudden insistence on calling his plan "health-insurance reform" as empty, poll-tested phrase-making.

Stupid enough to consider Obama's reform a good deal when its insurance regulations would increase premiums for most healthy people.

A-List Stars Flailing at the Box Office (The New York Times)

The spring and summer box office has murdered megawatt stars like Denzel Washington, Julia Roberts, Eddie Murphy, John Travolta, Russell Crowe, Tom Hanks, Adam Sandler and Will Ferrell.

Can Brad Pitt escape?

A-list movie stars have long been measured by their ability to fill theaters on opening weekend. But never have so many failed to deliver, resulting in some rare soul-searching by motion picture studios about why the old formula isn’t working — and a great deal of anxiety among stars (and agents) about the potential vaporization of their $20 million paychecks.

“The cratering of films with big stars is astounding,” said Peter Guber, the former chairman of Sony Pictures who is now a producer and industry elder statesman. “These supertalented people are failing to aggregate a large audience, and everybody is looking for answers.”

Mr. Guber added, “Even Johnny Depp” — starring in the drama “Public Enemies” — “didn’t exactly deliver a phenomenal result.” (The A-list results may be damped partly because Will Smith, a regular summer powerhouse, had no movie open this season.)

Mr. Ferrell bombed in “Land of the Lost,” a $100 million comedy that sold only $49 million in tickets in North America. Ms. Roberts missed with “Duplicity,” a $60 million thriller that attracted $40.6 million. “Angels & Demons” (Mr. Hanks) was soft. The same for “The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3” (Mr. Washington and Mr. Travolta).

Anonymous said...

Just like the newspapers, if the "big stars" kept their political ignorance to themselves, instead of thinking that their opinions matter more than the rest of ours, they wouldn't have this problem.

They’ve destroyed the illusion. I can’t watch any of those “big stars” without replaying their political comments telling ME that my beliefs are stupid and archaic.

(JUST LIKE McCCLACTHY) MSNBC Crops Out The Truth (Weekly Standard)

Last week, there were several instances of protesters showing up outside of town hall meetings openly carrying firearms.

Snip

MSNBC, not content to simply say, “Golly, guns are scary!” decided that there must be something racist going on. After showing close-cropped video footage of a protester with an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle slung over his shoulder, MSNBC host Contessa Brewer went on to say:

“Yes, there are Second Amendment rights, for sure, but also there are questions of whether this has a racial overtone. I mean, here you have a man of color in the presidency, and you have white people showing up with guns strapped to their waist.”

The only problem with MSNBC’s narrative of simmering racial tension and extremism is that the man with the rifle was, in fact, black.

After getting slammed this morning by just about every conservative blog in existence, an MSNBC spokesman, responding to Politico, issued this weak-kneed, watery response:

"Contessa was speaking generally and not about that specific person with the automatic weapon."

So, if I understand correctly, Brewer was claiming the town hall protesters carrying guns were generally racist.

That seems like a perfectly reasonable and well-founded assertion. No need, then, to show any evidence to the contrary, except to deliberately crop it out and use the footage to support Brewer’s claim

But this leads me to MSNBC, where on Tuesday Contessa Brewer – someone I’d like to see in a shower - filed a report about health care protesters showing up armed. But you never would have known. Because MSNBC has strategically edited the tape, so the race of the armed dude wasn’t revealed. You just assumed he was white, thanks to Contessa. Take a look at the tape from the MSNBC segment:

Hotel reservation cancellations spark failure fears for the upcoming climate conference in Copenhagen

The Foreign Ministry has cancelled 20,000 overnight hotel reservations meant for people attending the United Nations Climate Change Conference in December.

The move is expected to cost the hotel industry about 40 million kroner in lost revenue, calculated by each night in a hotel room costing about 2,000 kroner, reports Business.dk.

Reservations in a number of hotels across Zealand and parts of Skåne in southern Sweden have been cut from 120,000 to 100,000 overnight stays. The two-week conference in December is expected to attract between 12,000 and 15,000 participants. The ministry described the cancellations as a natural ‘adjustment’.

President Obama's Justice Department continues to stonewall inquiries about why it dropped a voter intimidation case against the New Black Panther Party.

The episode—which Bartle Bull, a former civil rights lawyer and publisher of the left-wing Village Voice, calls "the most blatant form of voter intimidation I've ever seen"—began on Election Day 2008. Mr. Bull and others witnessed two Black Panthers in paramilitary garb at a polling place near downtown Philadelphia.

No Maine Miracle Cure (Another state 'public option' that failed)
WSJ

Want a preview of ObamaCare in action? Sneak a look at what has happened in Maine.

In 2003, the state to great fanfare enacted its own version of universal health care. Democratic Governor John Baldacci signed the plan into law with a bevy of familiar promises. By 2009, it would cover all of Maine's approximately 128,000 uninsured citizens. System-wide controls on hospital and physician costs would hold down insurance premiums. There would be no tax increases. The program was going to provide insurance for everyone and save businesses and patients money at the same time.

After five years, fiscal realities as brutal as the waves that crash along Maine's famous coastline have hit the insurance plan.

The system that was supposed to save money has cost taxpayers $155 million and is still rising.

Here's how the program was supposed to work. Two government programs would cover the uninsured. First the legislature greatly expanded MaineCare, the state's Medicaid program.

Today Maine families with incomes of up to $44,000 a year are eligible; 22% of the population is now in Medicaid, roughly twice the national average.

Dirigo incorporates essentailly ALL the major points of Obamacare... which is precisely why it is such a complete failure.

Additionally, it was rammed through the state legislature by a democrat majority and signed by a democrat governor, at a time when every third-party analysis showed that it could never work.

One issue the article left out is the claims of the few remaining Dirigo supporters that the program has “saved millions of dollars”.

Sure it has... because the state is delinquent up to two years in claims payment, to the tune of over $20,000,000.00 owed to doctors and hospitals.

The end result is that many offices no longer accept the coverage.

Dirigo was concieved by idiots and implemented by idiots, at the expense of the very people its supporters so loudly proclaimed they were helping. It is a microcosmic example of why socialized medicine will never work, and why Obamacare must be utterly crushed.

I quit my last job because they changed from Blue Cross to Dirigo Health. There are so many problems with Dirigo, I could go on forever.

To qualify for any discount you have to be real poor. I think discounts start at $22,000 and only after the State Government takes control of your assets.

My coverage alone cost $600 a month with a $5000 a year out of pocket, renewed the first of each year. The 80/20 primary copay, you pay the 80%. In other words, you pay the first $12,000 every year. Income redistribution at its finest, only enables the lazy hacks and hurts the people that truly need help.

Obama's Brick Wall: The American People (davidlimbaugh.com)

President Barack Obama has run into a brick wall: the American people, who cherish their liberty and revere their nation and do not want it remade in Obama's socialist image.

Obama's free-falling poll numbers are not the result of a misinformation campaign from a small sliver of unruly conservative opponents, as the administration wants you to believe.

They are a reflection of the public's reaction to Obama's policies and his own comprehensive misinformation campaign to dupe the people into believing America is unsalvageable without fundamental change.

It’s not so bad in Britain

The reality is that the NHS costs half as much per person as the American system costs. Yet it delivers results which are on some plausible measures (see article) actually superior, for instance in terms of health in middle-age or life expectancy at birth (America’s record at treating cancers is much better, though). And it does this while avoiding the disgrace that so shames America, of leaving around 46m people, some 15% of its population, without any form of health insurance and therefore reliant on emergency-room care, which is costly and inefficient. Many millions more are covered by only bare-bones policies, which can leave them destitute in the event of prolonged illness. But if American politicians peddle falsehoods about what goes on in other countries, Americans are correspondingly less likely to appreciate the extent to which they are being let down.

A Deck Stacked With Race Cards
(Townhall.com)

What if America transcended race, and Barack Obama wasn't invited?

The question comes to mind as cries of racism grow ever louder from Obama's supporters.

No one should be surprised. Fish gotta swim, birds gotta fly, liberal Democrats have to accuse their opponents of racism. Indeed, somewhat to their credit, fighting racism -- alas, even where it doesn't exist -- is one of the reasons they became liberal Democrats in the first place.

And that's the great irony of the Obama presidency. It was Obama's supporters who hinted, teased, promised or prophesied that Obama would help America "transcend race." But now, it is they who shrink from their own promised land.

After all, it was not Obama's detractors who immediately fell into the comfortable groove of racial grievance and familiar "narratives" when Henry Louis Gates insisted that a police instructor in racial sensitivity had to be a racist. That was Obama and his choir of heralds.

Health Care Reform Bills Would Not Verify Citizenship Status Of Beneficiaries (CNSNews)

The health care reform bills Congress is considering would not require people who sign up for government health care programs to verify their eligibility.

That opens the door for millions of illegal aliens and other non-citizens to receive medical services paid for by taxpayers, a panel of experts from the conservative Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) and the Heritage Foundation said Wednesday.

Title II, Substitle C, Section 246 of the House health care bill (H.R. 3200) stipulates "no federal payment for undocumented aliens." The Senate Bill states that beneficiaries of federal health care programs must be a citizen or an alien lawfully admitted to the United States.

But neither bill has a provision for verifying citizenship status, according to these experts.

Anonymous said...

Gibbs, Obama and other Democrats are lying through their teeth.

They are putting up a smoke-screen by saying that both the Senate and House bill (H.R. 3200) would not give illegals tax-payer funded health care, and that illegals are specifically excluded.

BUT, the Dems purposefully left out the enforcement mechanism.

ACLU and Gitmo Lawyers Accused of Passing Personal Info About CIA Agents to Al-Qaeda (Gateway Pundit)

A New Low For the ACLU--
Outrage! The ACLU and Gitmo lawyers are being accused of passing personal information of CIA agents to Al-Qaeda terrorists.
The Washington Post reported:

The Justice Department recently questioned military defense attorneys at Guantanamo Bay about whether photographs of CIA personnel, including covert officers, were unlawfully provided to detainees charged with organizing the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, according to sources familiar with the investigation.

Investigators are looking into allegations that laws protecting classified information were breached when three lawyers showed their clients the photographs, the sources said.

The lawyers were apparently attempting to identify CIA officers and contractors involved in the agency’s interrogation of al-Qaeda suspects in facilities outside the United States, where the agency employed harsh techniques.

If detainees at the U.S. military prison in Cuba are tried, either in federal court or by a military commission, defense lawyers are expected to attempt to call CIA personnel to testify.

The photos were taken by researchers hired by the John Adams Project, a joint effort of the American Civil Liberties Union and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers...

us today. No jiving, just the bottom line. It is unbelievable, while we struggle through a recession, to keep spending money on law breakers that should not be in the USA in the first place. The media carefully does not bring us the news of the frustrations over the fact that illegals are breaking even more of our laws everyday, and jam our legal system. Democrats will also not tell you the money we would give illegals for health care could be spent on deporting them, and we could stop throwing good money, after bad. The old line we cannot deport 14 million law breakers is a lie.
We can deport them,
“Yes we can”

On Death Care: “The ‘Ruling Class’ have not even read the bill, or understand it, and yet they have the cojones to berate questioners, who have read the bill, for asking questions.”

I clipped this from another thread because it said exactly how I feel, and bears repeating.
Vote the bums out!

Obama was for the public option before he wasn't but is for it again now. For now.

In the beginning this was about healthcare reform but now it's about insurance reform unless we are talking to the unions in which case it's healthcare again.

There wasn't a deathcare option and to prove it we took it out of the bill.

Democrat congressmen can't be bothered to read the bill but attack taxpayers who actually do as crazies.

Democrats crafted all of their bills without allowing minority input but then were for a bipartisan approach before they decided to go it alone without any Republican help except that they want to SEEM to be bipartisan. Sometimes.

Liberals are all for dissent unless they disagree with it in which the dissenting taxpayers are Unamerican, Nazi's, crazy, racist or deceived depending on what day it is.

We can go on and on.

And you are surprised that healthcare is in trouble.

Tom Daschle is the perfect scandal ridden politician for our ‘Chicago Thug’ to call upon for help. If the media had done their job on reporting the true Daschle, he would be hiding in disgrace. At least Daschle had the good sense to duck out of any cabinet appointment. It would have cost him too much of his murky lobbyist income. Good grief, is there no end to corrupt and tax-cheating Democrats? One can only hope the ‘Light Bulb Moment’ for seeing who he Democraps really are, is contagious.

A poster clips and pastes an article declaring the health care in the UK is just so great. It isn’t, and why don’t we hear what percentage the UK taxes their citizens? I saw a population estimation on another blog, and it is another good reason to stop comparing the socialist systems with ours. The sheer numbers of Americans vs tiny populations, are not comparable. The US government can’t run AMTRAK well, who wants them taking over our health care?

Population
USA 307,210,820
Canada 33,735,000
UK 62,235,000

Just check Britain's (and other countries') health outcomes and their per-capita health spending compared to ours. Google "international health statistics". It may pull your blinders off. No, you'll probably just call it another conspiracy.

Ambulance To Hosp. For Heart Attack In Canada NOT Covered By Gubmint Ins: "Not Medically Necessary!"

It is worse than that. Cancer surgeries are classified as elective but they have the perfect system. Those that love it get treatments for their coughs and colds but those that hate it are allowed to die so how can they complain?

Top that off with your television and news agencies being government owned institutions and everything looks just peachy, because even if they were to report the truth, they can be censored entirely on the order of a single judge.

No sir, no freedom of speech or press in Utopia.

The Democrats couldn’t look worse to the normal citizens of the US. Trying to paint the leftist loons as the average citizen, and the angry town hall attendees as nutcases, is not going to work. Like Pogo sez: "We have met the ememy and he is us." Not much longer Pogo, we know who the ememy is, and they are not us! They are not!

You can’t really know what the per-capita health spending in the UK is. They withhold treatment, and people have to wait months for care. If they actually treated each patient promptly and thoroughly, their stats would change drastically. My neighbors that immigrated from England, are the harshest critics of government run health care. That tells me something. About those taxes, he said when he added up all his taxes he paid more than 50% of his yearly income. There was no reason to try to better your income to the level ‘government’ considered wealthy, they simply taxed it away from you. That is socialism, and they became US citizens to get away from it. I believe them, not the lying media, or the statistics from a government trying to take us over.

NBC Online Store Offers 29 Pro-Obama Items. BIAS, WHAT BIAS? I'M SURE THEY HAD 39 ITMES FOR PRESIDENT BUSH, JUST LIKE McCLATCHY. I'M SURE OF IT

Maxim Lott at Foxnews.com reported Monday that NBC Universal isn’t just showing its love for Obama on the news airwaves:

If you’re a fan of all things Obama, NBC Universal’s online store has no fewer than 29 options for your buying pleasure -- from a shirt with the president’s picture proclaiming “YES WE DID"...to both of his books...to a special inauguration DVD...to a refrigerator magnet of the first couple.

And don’t forget the Barack Obama Action Figure -- yours for $15, plus tax.

You can buy them online -- or at NBC Universal’s retail store in New York.

The items are promoted with pro-Obama lingo:

“Bring reform to your refrigerator. Or at least keep company with the President while you’re at work, with the Barack Obama Magnet,” one item description reads.

“From Yes We Can to Yes We Did! Celebrate Barack Obama’s historic victory with the new ‘Yes We Did’ Unisex T-Shirt,” reads another.

The Democrats are trying to peddle the sick lie, that the GOP is hijacking the health care debate for political reasons? Just like they hijacked the Iraq war for political reasons, the Katrina disaster, and on and on. Just because they are skanks, they think everyone is. The jig is up!

All through that damn election, they told us Obama was the greatest speaker since Martin Luther King. But yesterday he sounded more like Mr. Rogers!

Yesterday, the Teleprompter Kid was trying to explain why his whole Death Panel Medicine Plan was going down the toilet. He said:

“There is something about August going into September where everybody in Washington gets all wee weed up!”

I guess that’s how they teach you to talk at those fancy colleges up north!

Here’s some other stuff Obama said yesterday that didn’t get reported:

“I’ve got a boo-boo!”

“My poll numbers went plop plop!”

“I go sleepy-bye-bye now!”

I don’t even know what Obama...

Liberal bloggers admit conservatives have upper hand on Twitter (CNN Political Ticker)

"While it is obvious the progressive blogosphere is superior, we are being out-organized on Twitter," said Gina Cooper, a blogger who helped organize Netroots Nation, an annual gathering of online liberal activists that met last week in Pittsburgh. "There is some catching up to do on the progressive side."

Tracy Viselli, who attended Netroots Nation, agreed with Cooper and admitted that liberal bloogers are ceding this valuable territory to conservatives.

"Twitter is a news funnel," she said. "Conservatives are very tightly knit and getting their message out very well."

WTH?... Obama Ignores National Day of Prayer But Sends Out 5 Minute Ramadan Blessing (Gateway Pundit)

HotAirPundit posted Obama's Ramadan wishes today...
It's five minutes long:It's even translated into several languages.
From the White House blog:

President Obama extends his best wishes to Muslims around the world during Ramadan.

Now, do you remember how Obama observed the National Day of Prayer?

He distanced himself from it.
The Washington Times reported:

President Obama is distancing himself from the National Day of Prayer by nixing a formal early morning service and not attending a large Catholic prayer breakfast the next morning.

All Mr. Obama will do for the National Day of Prayer, which is Thursday, is sign a proclamation honoring the day, which originated in 1952 when Congress set aside the first Thursday in May for the observance.

For the past eight years, President George W. Bush invited selected Christian and Jewish leaders to the White House East Room, where he typically would give a short speech and several leaders offered prayers...

This fits with 0's earlier declaration that America was NOT a Christian nation followed weeks later by his absurd claim that America was one of the largest Muslim countries in the world.

The UK has high unemployment and a stagnant economy. They are trying to get out their socialistic form of government, as is Germany. They are cutting business taxes now, but it is late, they have driven businesses out with their high taxes and environmental regulations. Under the radar there is another inconvenient truth. The UK government covers health care to recent immigrants that do not work, they are on welfare, and they have never, nor likely will ever pay taxes. There are second generation welfare recipients now, and they do not try to find jobs. Their numbers rise each year, as they have large families. They don’t speak English, and they demand to keep their own customs. The ruling class doesn’t know what the hell to do with them.
Anything sound familiar here?

Then why are their statistics on most health outcomes so much better than ours?

A) Because their news is state owned, socialist propaganda.

B) They're not. Of all the talking points you spout, you have one or two categories that you hang on too, while ignoring true indicators, the vast disparity in mortality rates for countless numbers of diseases where people are just simply allowed to die.

C) Maybe you're not aware, in most EU countries now it is not only legal but mandated that if it is, "for the public good", secondary suspected causes of should be listed as the primary reason on death certificates.

I.E. In EU countries if a person smokes and dies of a heart attack, the cause of death is listed as smoking.

Socialist medicine is rigged. Those who would complain are allowed to die.

If you're over 65 and need dialysis, so sorry, not cost effective. Go home and die.

You can have it if you want it. Move to utopia, but leave me and mine alone, parasite.

Oh, oh, the “Sucker Package” gave a porn film maker stimulus money, and what will happen if he didn’t use part of it to buy condoms? Let’s demand to see his expenditures, all his bookkeeping for that matter! We just can’t be giving out taxpayers money without some checking that it was used properly. We need an Anchorage Daily News journalist to go through the garbage, experience really counts for this job. "Better" Health Care?
By John Stossel

In England, health care is "free" -- as long as you don't mind waiting. People wait so long for dentist appointments that some pull their own teeth. At any one time, half a million people are waiting to get into a British hospital. A British paper reports that one hospital tried to save money by not changing bedsheets. Instead of washing sheets, the staff was encouraged to just turn them over...

Anonymous said...

12:28: Sounds like Britain needs to invest more so it can bring its standards up to France and Germany. That's what happened in Canada. The national government decided that waiting lists were too long, so it invested the money necessary to reduce the backlog. (And they all manage to spend less per-capita than we do, yet have better health outcomes than we do.)

We only have to pay back what we orginally received since that is all the documentation they have.
Some people I asked did pay it back and some didn't so why should we have to pay for the poor management. HR and that crazy lady in payroll don't have records. Call the IRS or see a tax attrny they will tell you.

Thanks for your reasoned, thoughtful response in a discussion of an important issue.
When you reach age 65, no doubt, you'll opt out of Medicare, an example of "socialized medicine," and try to find a private insurance company to cover your chronic diseases, such as distemper.

Holder's Black Panther Stonewall
Wall Street Journal
John Fund
President Obama's Justice Department continues to stonewall inquiries about why it dropped a voter intimidation case against the New Black Panther Party.

The episode—which Bartle Bull, a former civil rights lawyer and publisher of the left-wing Village Voice, calls "the most blatant form of voter intimidation I've ever seen"—began on Election Day 2008. Mr. Bull and others witnessed two Black Panthers in paramilitary garb at a polling place near downtown Philadelphia. (Some of this behavior is on YouTube.)
