Canadian Health Care "Imploding"-- Doctors Meet & Discuss Private Options (Canadian Press, via the Drudge Report)
ABC's John Stossel reported on the Canadian health care system in July.
Stossel uncovered several disadvantages to the nationalized system including long lines and waiting lists for treatment.
This week Canada's top doctor announced that the Canadian system is "imploding." Doctors are meeting in Saskatoon to discuss changes that must be made.
The incoming president of the Canadian Medical Association says this country's health-care system is sick and doctors need to develop a plan to cure it.
Dr. Anne Doig says patients are getting less than optimal care and she adds that physicians from across the country - who will gather in Saskatoon on Sunday for their annual meeting - recognize that changes must be made.
"We all agree that the system is imploding, we all agree that things are more precarious than perhaps Canadians realize," Doing said in an interview with The Canadian Press.
"We know that there must be change," she said. "We're all running flat out, we're all just trying to stay ahead of the immediate day-to-day demands."
His thoughts on the issue are already clear. Ouellet has been saying since his return that "a health-care revolution has passed us by," that it's possible to make wait lists disappear while maintaining universal coverage and "that competition should be welcomed, not feared."
In other words, Ouellet believes there could be a role for private health-care delivery within the public system.
Sounds Fishy-- White House Passes Blame for Unsolicited Emails (Gateway Pundet)
The White House today passed blame for the unsolicited "fishy" emails promoting Obamacare that were sent out last week.
FOX News reporter Major Garrett confronted White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs on the suspicious and unsolicited Axelrod emails on Thursday:
The White House for the first time Sunday somewhat acknowledged that people across the country received unsolicited e-mails last week on health care from the administration, suggesting the problem on third-party groups it claimed placed the recipients' names on the distribution list.
In a written statement released exclusively to FOX News, White House spokesman Nick Shapiro said the White House hopes those who received the e-mails without signing up for them were not "inconvenienced" by the messages.
"The White House e-mail list is made up of e-mail addresses obtained solely through the White House Web site. The White House doesn't purchase, upload or merge from any other list, again, all e-mails come from the White House Web site as we have no interest in e-mailing anyone who does not want to receive an e-mail," the statement said. "If an individual received the e-mail because someone else or a group signed them up or forwarded the e-mail, we hope they were not too inconvenienced."
The White House previously would not answer questions on how the e-mails landed unsolicited in so many inboxes.
USAToday front page: Stimulus poll: 57% irked
WASHINGTON — Six months after President Obama launched a $787 billion plan to right the nation's economy, a majority of Americans think the avalanche of new federal aid has cost too much and done too little to end the recession.
"This is a wake-up call for the administration." says House Minority Whip Eric Cantor, R-Va.
"People see the stimulus hasn't worked, and now you want to lay on over $1 trillion in a health care plan."
ObamaCare and Bush League Democrats
(The American Thinker)
There's more than justice to the nationwide backlash against President Obama's healthcare putsch. There's a delicious irony.
The President, a down-to-his-toes rabble-rouser, has admirably roused the American rabble. Except not quite as intended. He and the rest of the statist vanguard have run headlong into a cosmic law: the Law of Unintended Consequences.
Not even the late master rabble-rouser and con artist extraordinaire, Saul Alinsky, could account for the unaccountable. But the gaping difference between the President and the rascally Alinsky is that Alinsky had sort of a genius for playing the angles. In other words, Alinsky could hit curveballs. Mr. Obama is a dead-on fastball hitter.
If all you can hit are fastballs, chances are, you won't make it to the big leagues, or, if you do, you won't last long. Fastball hitters whiff a lot.
New York Times' Disgrace Deepens
(The American Thinker)
The New York Times had another in a string of embarrassing moments this weekend, part of a steep descent for the "paper of record," much like that of President Obama's approval numbers. And neither seems to have bottomed yet. In reality, the Times' latest disaster is quite closely related to the Obama approval ratings free fall.
A significant majority of Americans (54%-35%) ) now favor doing nothing as far as health care reform, if the alternative is one of the bills working its way through Congress,( each of which is a thousand page or more monstrosity, with untold consequences for cost, coverage, or quality)
In response to the ebbing support for health care reform, and the President, the New York Times attempted to come to the rescue of both on Friday, with a front page "news story" in which they attacked the idea that "ObamaCare" would lead to the creation of any "death panels" -- bureaucratic bodies that would deny care to the elderly, and promote euthanasia for the very ill to hasten their departure from the world.
Arthur O. Sulzberger Jr is Obama’s propaganda czar.
It's time for end-of-life counseling for the Times.
Dealers Paid for Just 2 Percent of 'Clunkers' Claims (FOXNews.com)
IS THIS WAS DEATHCARE, GRANNY WOULD HAVE DIED IN A WAITING ROOM
Rep. Joe Sestak says only 2 percent of claims have been paid and that four of every five applications have been "rejected for minor oversight."
David Wilson, a Toyota dealer in Orange County, Calif., told Automotive News that he has been paid for only three of 92 claims he submitted before Aug. 2, leaving him on the hook for about $374,000. In total, he has 450 unpaid claims filed for $1.9 million.
Running against Obama (surest sign of weakness)Politico
In the Deep South, at least, that's the ticket. Reports the Houma (La.) Courier:
President Barack Obama appears in medical scrubs with a stethoscope around his neck in a flier mailed to voters by Republican state Senate candidate Brent Callais.
Norby Chabert, his competitor in the Aug. 29 runoff for the Senate District 20 seat, takes offense to the flier, which he contends is an attempt to unfairly link him with presidential health-care plans.
“He’s trying to tap the vein of public unrest over the national health-care plan,” Chabert, a Houma Democrat, said in an interview Saturday.
“Time and time again, I’ve said I’m not in favor of the president’s health-care plan.”
Six months in office, and his own party is turning against him, quietly trying to wash Obama's Marxist stench out of his britches.
Chrysler to make Fiat in Mexico: report (Reuters)
Chrysler Group is planning to produce Fiat SpA's (FIA.MI) Fiat 500 subcompact at a Chrysler plant in Mexico, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing people familiar with the matter.
Chrysler is also considering what other Fiat models to introduce to the U.S. market, under directions from its Italian partner, the paper reported on its website on Sunday.
Criticized for our principles: The New York Times takes on The Washington Times (The Washington Times)
On Friday, the New York Times ran a front-page story about the origins of what they called the "stubborn yet false rumor that President Obama's health care proposals would create government-sponsored 'death panels' to decide which patients were worthy of living." The article listed The Washington Times editorial board as one of the sources of the "death panel" notion. The New York Times noted two of our editorials. Neither of those articles used the expression "death panels."
Obama retreats on controversial U.S. healthcare plan (Daily Mail (U.K.)
Barack Obama backtracked last night on his controversial plan to offer Americans a government-run alternative to private health insurance.
The U-turn came as the U.S. President sought to quell the growing row over Republican claims he was trying to socialise medicine.
Democrats feared the Republican backlash - which included attacks on the NHS in Britain - could jeopardise all of the administration's plans for healthcare reform.
Mr Obama wanted the government to run a health insurance organisation to help cover the 48million uninsured Americans. But last night Health Secretary Kathleen Sebelius told CNN that the government-run alternative 'is not the essential element' of the healthcare overhaul.
She said the White House would be open to setting up non-profit insurance co-operatives instead.
This would be more palatable to Republicans fiercely opposed to more state involvement in the nation's private sector-dominated health system.
Mr Obama distanced himself from the 'socialised' NHS over the weekend. Speaking in Montana, he said he was 'not in favour of the British system'. He added: 'I want to find a uniquely American system.'
"Mr Obama distanced himself from the 'socialised' NHS over the weekend."
Oh my! That's quite the snub.
Lefties everywhere are mad I guess. That's quite the fall from "Lord", "The One", "Messiah".
The Daily mail must recall Dear Leader’s overt hatred of Winston Churchill and England when he summarily returned Churchill’s bust to Whitehall, the unworkable CD’s he gave to the PM, or the iPod he bestowed on the Queen
Union Members Pack Obama's Town Halls (The Washington Times)
GRAND JUNCTION, Colo
The two organizers for the United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW) Local 7 proudly wore their union T-shirts, and boisterously supported the president because of what they think his initiative will do for the 25,000 grocery stockers, meatpackers and warehouse workers that they represent.
"We have to negotiate for health care every time a contract comes up," said Mr. Carillo, 24, a union employee. "Year after year, it just gets more and more expensive."
Members of the nation's labor unions have made up a hefty segment of the audiences that flocked to town halls Mr. Obama held in the past week, and they have played an even larger role in a nationwide campaign for an insurance overhaul.
Financially, and with boots on the ground, unions have become the backbone of the president's effort.
Last week, the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) was part of a group, largely funded by the pharmaceutical industry's lobby, that launched $12 million in television ads to support the president's health care push, and the coalition Americans for Stable Quality Care could spend tens of millions of dollars more this fall.
The AFL-CIO, the American Federation of Teachers and the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees are among the partners in another group, Health Care for America Now, which has committed millions more dollars to advertising that is running now in a half-dozen states.
Town Hall Disrupter Maxine Johnson Exposed as a Fraud & Liar (Gateway Pundet)
The St. Louis Tea Party Coalition is reporting today that the woman who created a disturbance at Claire McCaskill's town hall meeting in Hillsboro is a fraud:
Maxine Johnson is the woman who staged a melodramatic disruption at Sen. Claire McCaskill’s healthcare forum in Hillsboro, MO, last week.
Ms. Johnson, who has a history of expulsion of civilized events in the city of St. Louis, erupted about an hour and 30 minutes into McCaskill’s town hall. Among other infractions, the Green Party fraudster unfurled a prohibited sign. (Later, the sign would so enrage a Jefferson County man that he snatched from her hand and tore it up.)
According to reports Johnson entered the meeting 30 minutes before the forum's end. She rudely gestured to the audience, and mouthed off in an attempt to start a fight. She also was carrying signs which were strictly prohibited.
24thState.com has all of the details on Maxine Waters.
Geraldo Loses It... Compares Tea Party Protesters to Violent Brooks Brothers Mob Who Stole Election for Bush (Fox Video)
Geraldo loses it. He lashes out at the mob who he believes just prevented nationalized health care just like the "Brooks Brothers" wearing demonstrators who were so violent and stole the election for George Bush.
ObamaCare Shocker: Gov't Sees You Naked Too (The New American)
Good-bye Financial Privacy
Such an I.D. would also make possible a never-before-seen assault on your financial privacy, and the Obamacare bill is not shy about demanding it.
In the same section, Number 163, on Page 59 of the bill, the federal government would now have direct, real-time access to all individual bank accounts for electronic funds transfers, and to check whether your bank account contains sufficient funds to pay for the services you are seeking. (Free care is not free, of course.)
The Mega-computer system that will control this medical data operation will require that you “enable electronic funds transfers [from your account], in order to allow automated reconciliation” between payment and billing.
Do we really want the feds to have a direct pipeline into our bank accounts, and to have the account information linked to our eligibility for medical services? Ponder the possibilities:
"Uh, sir, our Medical Monster Computer shows that you owe $928.72in federal income taxes and penalties. We can't treat you until you pay that."
If you say that cannot happen, it already is happening on a state level in federally enforced child enforcement collections, under, believe it or not, 42 U.S.C. Section 666. There, if a child support arrearage is allegedly owed, the state can levy your bank account for the full amount with no hearing, take your driver's license, suspend your passport, intercept your tax refund, and throw you in jail.
Extrapolation to the federal level will be simple and fun for the otherwise bored bureaucrats, who relish making the hoi poloi squirm.
With Obama in office, Fox News finds its stride (AP via Google)
SINCE WHEN DOES AP CARE ABOUT THE TRUTH? GOOD THING McCLATCHY DOESNT.
LOVE THOSE SAC. BEE CARTOONS!
South Carolina Republican Bob Inglis, frustrated by a restive crowd at a recent forum to discuss health care reform, suggested people turn off the TV when Fox News Channel's Glenn Beck came on.
Judging by the escalating boos and catcalls, squirting lighter fluid on burning coals would have been wiser. Beck is a hero to many people who are not buying the Age of Obama, and so is Fox. The network was already on pace for its best ratings year even before the health care debate sent viewership jumping during a traditionally slow month for news.
How emboldened is Fox? After President Barack Obama's press secretary Robert Gibbs warned against "cable news" derailing health care plans, Bill O'Reilly assumed he was referring to Fox and seemed ready for a fight.
"Who's that going to help?" O'Reilly said. "Us, that's who. Our ratings are already soaring because we don't denigrate the protesters, the way a lot of other TV news organizations do. They're dying. We're on fire."
A gloriously flawed hero: How Winston Churchill saved this nation from the brink of extinction
Daily Mail (UK) NO WONDER DEAR LEADER HATES HIM, HE WAS ANTI-MARXIST.
Next month is the 70th anniversary of the outbreak of World War II in 1939. It was a conflict that Britain could not have won without one man - Winston Churchill.
It was a war that, without him, could not even have been fought. It was his inspiration that prevented Britain from joining the rest of Europe in surrendering to the might of Nazi Germany.
And at the end, as a new world order emerged in 1945 out of the global bloodbath, it was his determination and personality that had this bombed-out and bankrupt nation still holding a crucial position at the centre of international affairs, still in the game, still a player.
'There I sat,' the great man recalled of a summit meeting with Stalin, the dictator of the Soviet Union, and Roosevelt, the President of the United States, 'with the great Russian bear on one side of me, and on the other side the great American buffalo.
Specter: Town Hall Meetings Are ‘Not Really Representative Of America’ ABC
Democratic Senator Arlen Specter said in an interview on “This Week” that he supports Americans right to organize, but warned that recent town hall ruckus from critics of the Democrats' health care proposals are not representative of the public's view on the issue.
“I think we have to bear in mind, that although those people need to be heard and have a right to be heard, that they are not really representative of America in my opinion,” Specter said on ABC’s “This Week.”
John Stossel seems like a standup guy. He is a libertarian, and I enjoy his commentary and writing. If he didn’t work for ABC, I would trust him more.
Double Standard Watch: Targeted killings - OK for US but not for Israel (Jerusalem Post)
A recent front page of The New York Times featured an article entitled "Drug chieftains tied to Taliban are US targets - Shift in Afghan policy." It stated that:
"Fifty Afghans believed to be drug traffickers with ties to the Taliban have been placed on a Pentagon target list to be captured or killed... and that major traffickers with proven links to the insurgency have been put on the 'joint integrated prioritized target list.' That means they have been given the same target status as insurgent leaders, and can be captured or killed at any time."
According to this newly announced policy, 50 alleged civilian drug dealers have now been made subject to targeted killing if they cannot be captured.
When Israel used targeted killings to eliminate Sheikh Salah Shehade, Sheikh Ahmed Ismail Yassin and Abdel Aziz al-Rantissi, who were admitted leaders of terrorist groups that were engaging in combat against Israeli civilians, it faced a tsunami of condemnation from the US, the EU, the UK, the French, the Italians, the Russians, the UN and The Vatican.

White House Acknowledges Unsolicited E-Mails on Health Care
"The White House for the first time Sunday somewhat acknowledged that people across the country received unsolicited e-mails last week on health care from the administration, suggesting the problem on third-party groups it claimed placed the recipients' names on the distribution list...."

Swimmers are told to wear burkinis
British swimming pools are imposing Muslim dress codes in a move described as divisive by Labour MPs.
Under the rules, swimmers – including non-Muslims – are barred from entering the pool in normal swimming attire.
Instead they are told that they must comply with the "modest" code of dress required by Islamic custom, with women covered from the neck to the ankles and men, who swim separately, covered from the navel to the knees.
The phenomenon runs counter to developments in France, where last week a woman was evicted from a public pool for wearing a burkini –the headscarf, tunic and trouser outfit which allows Muslim women to preserve their modesty in the water.

-Dean: Public option a must
for health care reform-
Associated Press, by Staff
WASHINGTON – Former Democratic Party Chairman Howard Dean is arguing that there can be no meaningful overhaul of the health care system without a public option for coverage. A leading player in the party's liberal wing, Dean said in a nationally broadcast interview Monday he thinks providing a government role in insurance coverage is fair.
Sheila Jackson Lee’s “Public” Notice (Patterico)
In an article about Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee’s health care town hall meeting held Tuesday 8/11/09 —the meeting attended by “Dr.” Roxana Mayer — the Houston Chronicle reported her constituents and the public were given one day’s notice of the meeting if they called Jackson Lee’s office the day before:
“Several of Jackson Lee’s constituents opposed to the health care plan complained the meetings were never posted on the congresswoman’s Web site. They also said they had called her office repeatedly but were only informed about the meetings when they called the day before it happened.
“Someone kept telling me that it would be on her Web site or they would make a list and call me. But they never did. I was lucky to find out about it,” said Linda Lehman, a retired accountant, who is “terrified” by how much the health care reform package may cost.
Allan Meason, another constituent, who thinks the health care bill won’t work without controlling malpractice lawsuits, agreed, “I kept calling every office she had for three weeks.”
In response to a question about why the meeting wasn’t posted on her Web site, Jackson Lee said anyone could learn about it by calling her office. “I will be having a series of these meetings and the notices will be different,” she added.
Other attendees from the Fifth Ward said they had received a notice in their door informing them of the meeting the day before or learned about the forum when showing up for their senior citizen program at the center that day.
Jackson Lee is known for aggressively promoting her events by e-mailing and calling local news media. But the Houston Chronicle didn’t receive any notifications from her office about the Tuesday forum.“

CARACAS - U.S. President Barack Obama is "lost in the Andromeda" galaxy on Latin American policy, his chief critic in the region, Venezuelan leader Hugo Chavez, said on Sunday, while demanding the closure of U.S. military bases. (Snip) "Until when? Get with it, Obama. Get with it, brother," Chavez said.

More on the “Sucker Package” I mean the Stimulus Package. It was exposed that part of our tax money is being spent on making a pornographic movie. Helping small business get along, don’t you know? The movie director actually said his movie was art. Just because a few people didn’t appreciate his brand of art, didn’t mean it is not art. I am guessing the liberals see this as art. That is where they are in morality today, IMO.

Opponents of Barack Obama’s healthcare proposals are using the tactics of Saul Alinksy, the legendary leftwing activist who helped inspire the US president when he was a young community organiser, says Dick Armey, head of Freedom Works, a group fighting against universal healthcare.
Mr Armey, who was the Republican majority leader in the House of Representatives for most of the 1990s, said his group, which is behind many of the “tea party” protests that have disrupted town-hall meetings in the past two weeks, draws consciously on the forms of agitation pioneered by Mr Alinsky.
Mr Obama, who worked as a community organiser among unemployed steel workers on Chicago’s South Side in the late 1980s, was heavily influenced by Mr Alinsky, who inspired a generation of radicals in the 1960s

Where is tort reform in Obooba’s health care plan? It is obvious to me, how much he cares about cost cutting, like not at all. Shameless. The AP today smeared the tea party protesters. They reported that they were bussed in to town hall meetings.
The AP reported this in their article on FOX News:

Fox doesn't ignore the protesters' concerns, he said.
"Is Fox more critical of Obama than MSNBC? Of course," Phillips said. "But when you look at what is happening, Fox is actually covering it."
I contacted Mary Ellen Burke the State Communications Director at Americans for Prosperity this morning.
She confirmed that this report by the Associated Press was not accurate. AFP is not bussing any of the grassroots demonstrators into the town hall meetings or any meetings across the country.
Conservatives Now Outnumber Liberals in All 50 States, Says Gallup Poll
Terence P. Jeffrey
Self-identified conservatives outnumber self-identified liberals in all 50 states of the union, according to the Gallup Poll. At the same time, more Americans nationwide are saying this year that they are conservative than have made that claim in any of the last four years. In 2009, 40% percent of respondents in Gallup surveys that have interviewed more than 160,000 Americans have said that they are either “conservative” (31%) or “very conservative” (9%). That is the highest percentage in any year since 2004.
Gallop only canvassed 50 states, what about the other 7 where Obama dominates the media? The state of ACORN is the home of his most loyal supporters.
Reader's Digest plans to file for U.S. bankruptcy (Reuters)"HERE'S TO YOU McCLATCHY"
Reader's Digest Association Inc, publisher of the widely-read Reader's Digest magazine, said on Monday it would likely file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy for its U.S. businesses to cut its debt load.
The media company, known worldwide for its family-friendly namesake magazine, been trying to slash costs and boost growth since it was taken private in 2007 by an investor group led by Ripplewood Holdings LLC.
The bankruptcy would take the form of a so-called pre-arranged filing, Reader's Digest said in a statement. A pre-arranged filing comes after a company has already reached deals with its lenders to cut its debt.

Palin Wins: If She's Dim And Obama Is Brilliant, How Did He Lose The Argument To Her? (WSJ)
The first we heard about Sarah Palin's "death panels" comment was in a conversation last Friday with an acquaintance who was appalled by it.
Our interlocutor is not a Democratic partisan but a high-minded centrist who deplores extremist rhetoric whatever the source. We don't even know if he has a position on ObamaCare. From his description, it sounded to us as though Palin really had gone too far.
A week later, it is clear that she has won the debate.
The era of the Obamarama is over! How do I know? The car parked next to me still sported an Obama sticker last Friday. Today there is only a smudge, and the car is still dirty. I drew my own conclusions, my parking neighbor is ashamed of his vote in seven short months.
The rumor is, George Soros is really bummed out over his toy president imploding so quickly. He expected the goods he bought and paid for to be delivered the first year. Now, he has to cast around for a new puppet. With the media losing ground to honest reporting, it will not be as easy to suppress the news, but

Woman gives birth on pavement 'after being refused ambulance' (British National health care) dailymail.co.uk
A young mother gave birth on a pavement outside a hospital after she was told to make her own way there.
Mother-of-three Carmen Blake called her midwife to ask for an ambulance when she went into labour unexpectedly with her fourth child.
But the 27-year-old claims she was refused an ambulance and told to walk the 100m from her house in Leicester to the city's nearby Royal Infirmary.
Her daughter Mariah was delivered on a pavement outside the hospital by a passer-by, just before ambulance crews arrived.
She said: "I phoned up the Royal Infirmary, it's just across the road, and they said to go into a hot bath, and then to make my way over there.
"I went into the bath and realised she was going to come quickly. I didn't think I'd be able to make it out of the bath, so I phoned the maternity ward back and told them to get an ambulance out.
'They said they were not sending an ambulance and told me I had had nine months to sort out a lift.'
Bu was she fined for littering?
Under President Death Committee, this woman probably would be euthanized.
I'd remove the Obama stickers off my car too - unless you want slashed tires or a nasty key job. The anger out there is scary.
///Now the enormity of voting for a teleprompter is hitting you full force.///
Every president since Eisenhower has used a teleprompter.
Obama is all I thought he was and worse. I even read the comments following this article. One poster said. “Excellent analysis. Three more years! Three more years! Three more years!” I am going to start a countdown of days I have to endure under this fraud of a president.
A failed, single term?
by Jeffrey T. Kuhner
President Obama is on the way to joining an exclusive club. It is the club of failed one-term presidents. During the presidential campaign, Mr. Obama sold himself as a pragmatic moderate. In fact, he is the very opposite. He is an internationalist socialist whose policies will lead to ruin at home and defeat abroad. They will also doom his re-election efforts. He is flirting with political disaster….

The public option as a signal
Look, it is possible to have universal care without a public option; Switzerland does. But there are some good reasons for the prominence of the public option in our debate.
One is substantive: to have a workable system without the public option, you need to have effective regulation of the insurers. Given the realities of our money-dominated politics, you really have to worry whether that can be done — which is a reason to have a more or less automatic mechanism for disciplining the industry.
The second is what the option debate says about Obama.
If progressives had real trust in Obama’s commitment to doing the right thing, the administration would have broad leeway to do deals. But the president doesn’t command that kind of trust.
Partly it’s a matter of style — as many people have noted, he has been weirdly reluctant to make the moral case for universal care, weirdly unable to show passion on the issue, weirdly diffident even about the blatant lies from the right. Partly it’s a spillover from his other policies: by appointing an economic team that’s Rubin redux, by taking such a kindly attitude to the banks, he has squandered a lot of progressive enthusiasm.
Add in the dealmaking as part of the health care process itself, and progressives can be forgiven for having the impression that Obama (a) takes them for granted (b) is way too easily rolled by the other side.
So progressives have their backs up over one provision in health care reform that’s easy to monitor. The public option has become not so much a symbol as a signal, a test of whether Obama is really the progressive activists thought they were backing.
And the bizarre thing is that the administration doesn’t seem to get that.

Optimism about a recovery
starting to fizzle
MSNBC, by John W. Schoen
What happened to all the optimism? Less than a week ago, many people were celebrating the beginning of the recovery. The Federal Reserve itself claimed the economy is ''leveling out.'' Now some investors and market watchers say the stock market may have overestimated the prospects for an economic rebound (Snip)
But a closer examination shows much of that profit came from cost cutting — laying off workers — and then selling off inventories to meet …]
“Postalizing the health-care system”
Are we being lied to again? Why does the Post Office always operating in the red, and is never forced to cut back, or make the necessary changes to operate without taxpayer‘s dollars? The health-care system will make the post office failure look like a walk in the park.
Michelle Malkin warns of an Obama trial balloon-
“The real Obama is a declared proponent of single-payer and universal health care Trojan Horses. All else is political theater.
Late Sunday, the health care czar’s office said Sebelius “misspoke.”
It’s not a misstatement. It’s not a surrender flag. It’s a trial balloon to measure the potential nutroots backlash versus the potential Senate pick-ups.”

The Obamination backlash is in full swing. He's single-handedly driving the rise of conservatism.

Since this daily thread is always the most popular in terms of posts, maybe our host should bump it up to a more prominent spot throughout the day? It's got nearly 100 posts, yet you have to scroll WAY DOWN to find it!
In think the new Gallup Poll today that says conservatives now dominate in ALL 50 states should have its own posting. Wonder if that story will be featured in any McClatchy papers?

Good idea. I've tried to drop that hint every now and then, but for some reason, it doesn't even get a response....ARGH! Our Blogmaster is going MainStream!
Maybe he is hoping to get bought out by McClatchy?
Just kidding keeper of the delete button!
OK, you convinced me, I moved the post higher.
Hey, this site listens to its posters! Bumped!
This was mentioned earlier; I'm adding the link: Conservatives now outnumber liberals in all 50 states, says Gallup Poll.
Where's waldo? Er Barry?
Obama Tour 2009 Paid for by...well modesty prevents me...
Been listening to the news and every time I hear something about Obama, he's in another part of the world. Pictures of his getting off Air Farce One with his You-know-what eating grin. Waving to the (paid) throngs gathered to eagerly meet him. What's up with that? All over Europe, Asia, South America, and now the Three Amigos summit. Well at least he stayed home long enough to have a beer with his pals in the Beer/Rose garden. And he has taken a vacation ALREADY!!! I never got even a weeks vacation until I passed my probationary period and had logged in at least a year on the clock. IT'S NOT FAIR I TELL YOU, IT'S JUST NOT FAIR...I want his job...uh wait...never mind, I'm happy collecting unemployment...everyday is vacation...thanks DEMS.
Kevin, it's official. You should rename your site.
Because all these "enlightened" posters are losers. You guys lost the election. Your "hot" VP candidate will eventually end up posing nekkid for Hustler magazine with her crack addicted daughter....and guess what? The Dems will win AGAIN in four years. So my suggestion to you is to invest in crying towels. You're going to need them.
Key fact buried in the story: Gallup's 2009 party ID results indicate that Democrats have significant party ID advantages in 30 states and Republicans in only 4
7:39 PM, You are posting here, so you must be the LOSER you say posts here. Why would you come here just to say something ugly? Take your meds and chill. Better yet, turn on the news and see your teleprompter president without his electronic brain.
Question: Are your town hall meetings staged?
Answer: Au, er, au, er, Let me make it clear, I am holding town hall meetings in all 57 states. Is Martha’s Vineyard a state? Okay, 58states Bro.
Question: Are your town hall meetings staged?
Answer: I inherited these town hall meetings from Bush, where can I sneak a smoke?
Question: Are your town hall meeting staged?
Answer: You can blame Rush Limbaugh and Fox News for all this unrest at the meetings. It‘s the unwashed rabble that are programmed and staged. Listen, it is party night at the White House, I have to catch my plane
Adios Amigo, am I still out West?
Looks like someones feeling got hurt. Here, have a white (flag) hankie to wipe your nose on. What will you do in 2012 when your nose gets rubbed in it? Dems are getting more and more irritated by the Fresh Prince of D.C.'s actions by the hour.
Guess we struck a nerve with our trolls...they just can't stay away from this place...sneaking around behind the scenes...then when enough posts are made the pressure builds and they can't help themselves...they just have to say something...
7:39 is back with a common liberal point of view: Power is all that matters. While this poster is likely a child (and possibly chronologically one as well) the perspective is a common one. Winning is what matters. It leads to a mindset that will do absolutely anything for power. It's how we get lies, goons threatening old people with violence, stolen votes and intimidation.
7:39 must be another troll...Troll hunters unite! Stop global whining.
If you provoke them enough they will lash out and that's when you catch 'em!
