"If he [Bush] can't manage a war like this, how can he manage a country like this?" (Anonymous)

"Mission accomplished"

Is Bush still president?

Oh no, that's right. Obama is. Hard to tell considering he is doing pretty much exactly the same things in Iraq and Afghanistan as Bush did and would be doing.

I guess if you are a soldier and have your legs blown off it is ok as long as the commander in chief is a black, American hating, incompetent left wing racist wacko.

When your numbers are tanking and people are figuring out that you are nothing more than "presen" on any subject the best thing to do is blame Bush.

History will tell how well President Bush managed the USA after 9/11, and what the Iraq war accomplished fighting the terrorist takeover of the world. The media went into full dishonest mode to set up the next election for Democrats. The openly hostile media has done President Bush a grave injustice. The garbage they offered as news for eight years is in full evidence now. So the SOBs are going down the drain? Let me remove the sewer cap for them. Being full of shit already ought to make their final descent even quicker.

You right wing wackos.... If Obama had been President on 9/11 things would have been a lot different.

First of all... all fire fighters going into the burning building would have been non-union fire fighters. The union fire fighters would have had a contract exemption that would protect them from dangerous assignments that involve fires. And they would not have responded unless there was a truly diverse group on duty that accurately reflected the demographic make up of the building that was on fire.

Secondly we would not have attacked a perfectly lovely country with our bombs and baby killing ordinance. We would have apologized for building the Twin Towers right in the flight plan of the hijacked plane.

And finally we would have built thousands of day care centers in Iraq and Afghanistan to make up for our racist, capitalistic, hegemonic, Christian, arrogant ways.

Obama Joker Poster Popping Up In Los Angeles

Have you seen the poster?

Apparently, it's beginning to appear in odd places in Los Angeles, but nobody seems to know who's responsible for it.

A poster of Barack Obama in Heath Ledger-style Joker make-up with the legend 'Socialism' beneath it has been popping up recently on surfaces around L.A. It does not appear to be in the same category as the many benign take-offs on the Shepard Fairey 'Hope' poster, such as the one by Australian James Lillis (more of a straightforward spoof that merely substituted a Shepardized image of Heath Ledger as Joker on the Obama poster).

Bush wasn't black.

I think the point is that if the government can't get cash for clunkers right, they will never get health care right. What if all the cost estimates are off by 3x? What if the execution of the program is not well thought out. What if we have to stop healthcare, borrow some more money and then restart taking care of people?

Not much to be encouraged about with this admin's management of big federal spending programs. Why in the world would you add healthcare to their plate when they are incompetent in little things?

The original cost of programs as projected by all administrations versus actual costs is a fucking joke. No one can seriously use this as an argument against ANY administration.

Notice that our friend here can't see this argument in other than political terms. He readily concedes that the Obama Health care program will cost many times more than Obama promises but that this error does not matter because Republicans make the same mistake.
No my friend the fault lies with the very mechanism of government it self. This fact that the real cost of Obamacare will be several times greater than the Democrats promise is why we must not allow healthcare to be nationalized.
As our friend points out, this is not a political argument but a rational one.

Only an adolescent would see the healthcare debate as an argument for or against a particular administration. Government run health care is a matter of vital importance to every single American.
