Tacoma's former VP of advertising lands in Birmingham

When I posted the announcement that Tacoma was looking for a VP of advertising, I asked if anybody knew what happened to the previous VP.

A reader pointed me to an article which give the answer: the guy who had the position -- Kurt Vantosky -- is now working for the Birmingham News as VP of advertising.

Kurt Vantosky is the new vice president of advertising. He was previously at the Tacoma (Wash.) News Tribune and the Anchorage Daily News. He told the News:

“I think the strong editorial commitment — its history and its continued belief of being the voice of the community — drew me to The Birmingham News.”
