The Sacramento Bee, the area's leading source of news and information, is seeking an experienced Internet Advertising Salesperson to join our dynamic advertising sales team. The Bee offers our advertisers a variety of advertising products, including advertising opportunities with several niche Web sites. We welcome a highly motivated sales professional with a history of successful outside sales in internet advertising. These skills as described in our requirements must be highlighted in your resume and cover letter when applying. This is accomplished primarily through outside sales calls to potential and existing customers.--Develops new business, maintains and grows current customer base and meets or exceeds revenue goal on a consistent basis. --Prepares sales presentations for prospective clients. Contacts and visits prospects to point out advantages of advertising online, and exhibits prepared samples of our online product.
--Communicates regularly with customers, assesses needs, and proposes appropriate advertising plans.
Requirements:
We're looking for media sales professionals who have:--At least 2 years of solid and successful internet sales experience, with outside sales, preferably in media.
--Excellent sales and marketing skills; proactive, solution-oriented. --Technologically savvy and able to present, explain, and demonstrate complex web and internet concepts.
--Experience working effectively with a wide range of accounts.
