2007 flashback: Idaho Statesman editor moonlights as features writer for the Boston Globe

Came across a McClatchy-related item from 2007...

Vicki Gowler, executive editor at the Idaho Statesman, authored a piece about her spa vacation at
Miraval Spa and Resort near Tucsan. The piece was published in the Boston Globe in 2007.

Gowler details her experience with exfoliation, geothermal water, Thai massage, herbal powder dusting, hot stone massages, a seaweed wrap, and other luxuries the pampered elites enjoy. Gowler even went in for the "ayurvedic treatment" -- whatever that is.

Under the headline Gowler is identified as "Globe Correspondent" but at the end her title at the Idaho Statesman is given.

Crazy this was published in the Boston Globe; doesn't the Idaho Statesman have a features section?

First of all, so what? Second, is that Tucson you are referring to?

Spelling corrected; as I always say, my readers are the best copy editors.

Look, maybe Gowler just doesn't want to return to that job she had at the Duluth News-Tribune ...

The spa cost $800 per day – before the recession.
