"Denial of service" attacks on McClatchy web sites

Yesterday the Modesto Bee reported a denial of service attack on McClatchy web sites.

The Hive blogging section of modbee.com has been bedeviled with technical problems for the past two days. While visitors have been able to read material on the site most of the time, they often have been unable to post to it.

The Bee's corporate Internet staff advised Friday morning that they believe they have discovered the problem and hope to have service fully restored shortly.

The problem developed in the wake of a "denial of service" attack waged by Internet troublemakers against McClatchy Co. Web sites on Wednesday.

I just looked at The Hive and it looks like a few people are posting comments today.

I'm sure the blame rests on the shoulders of McClatchy Watch.

Laying off Utopian Socialists visions of Marxism has a way of doing that.

While the post pubescent, affirmative action babies are giggling at their perception of cleverness, they are once again whispering, "Dissent is Patriotic"

The Bee apologizes to the six people who post and who may have been inconvenienced.

Denial of Service? DOS

Boy did I misread this thread.

I thought it was about McClatchy admitting Denying Service to 50-75%of it’s potential customers by cutting and pasting DNC talking points.

I’ll go back to sleep now. Sorry!
