Description:

The primary responsibility of this position is to manage the classified department, including auto, and real estate. Strategically develop, implement new products and manage classified display, contract and liner advertising to obtain revenue goals, and market share.

Duties and responsibilities:

· Plans sales strategies that increase revenue, grows market share

· Develops territory/categories to target the business to take advantage of missed opportunities in a forward looking manner

· Plans long-term objectives for the company through sales of the department

· Trains and directs sales staff in planning, organizing and directing to obtain goals associated with annual budget

· Maintains a productive atmosphere by analyzing and developing reports that lead to increased productivity and additional revenue

· Personally develops accounts through targeting and sales calls


Qualifications: Four year degree in Advertising and or Marketing, with 5 years of proven advertising experience—Must have proven record in advertising. Minimum of 3 years management experience. Computer Skills: Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Must be proficient and able to train others in Aim, Cyber$ell, AdMall and Internet usage.


Must demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication skills, customer satisfaction skills, problem-solving abilities and a positive attitude. Must also be self-directed and able to work productively with minimal supervision. Must be organized and effective.
