The freakish story of the Gala Crashers has been a major national story for the past couple of days. I watched NBC nightly news Thanksgiving night and it was the top story. Photos of the publicity seekers with Obama and Joe Biden are all over the Internet.
As security breaches go, it's serious but not that high on my list because nobody's safety was in jeopardy.
If there were diplomatic breakthroughs made with the government of India, Americans don't know about it because all of the news of the gala has focused on the crashers.
It all makes Obama & Co look like amateurs -- even if the Secret Service is to blame.
The above is an official White House photo by Samantha Appleton.

The entire Obama administration has repeatedly shown it is "amateur hour" 24-7 in both domestic and international politics. What a bunch of buffoons! But this break down in security isn't something anybody wanted prior to bringing terrorists to NY for trial.
"Mr. President, I'm so sorry to tell you this, but my last name is not really Salehi."
"That's okay. My last name is not really Obama."
Bread and circuses. Watch for more to come over the holidays.
They get the bread, we get the Cirque Jerkque
Anybody else now embarrassed to be an American? This president is destroying our culture.
Zero orders full review of White House crashers, but not of Fort Hood terrorist. What a guy!
The secret service hasn't changed since Bush, just the administration. Hard to see how this reflects on the President. At least they didn't throw a shoe, or pick up a knife. They ought to throw the book at these publicity starved losers.
Imposter guests meet the imposter President!
Obama has no intention of going after them.
Tareq Salahi, an Arab American has been a Pro-Palestinian activist for years. He was on the board of directors until just recently of the American Task Force on Palestine, an Anti Israeli group whose founder is Ziad Asali who was Yassar Arafat’s old buddy.
Among it’s members are the illustrious Prof. Rashid Khalidi of Columbia University a former PLO official when it was a terrorist organization and a close friend of William Ayers, the very same people that launched Barack Obama’s political career in Chicago from Khalidi’s home.
I guess Tareq Salahi was “Just another guy in the neighborhood” as Obama once said about Ayers and Khalidi and boy what a large neighborhood that is!
Tareq Salahi married Michaele in 2003 in a lavish ceremony at St. Matthews Cathedral in Washington DC with 28 bridesmaids, 28 groomsmen, and, according to a video posted on YouTube and her Facebook page, enjoyed a reception at the Tareq family winery prepared by 46 chefs hosted in a 36,000 square-foot tent, capped off with a 30-minute fireworks display and an eight-foot wedding cake.
The guest list included 1,836 guests featuring Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy, Sen. Mark Warner, and former U.S. Ambassador to Ireland Margaret Heckler.
The wedding originally scheduled for October 2002 was postponed numerous times prompting Kennedy to quip that he needed to issue "subpoenas" to the bride and groom.
The Salahis are the co-chairs of America's Polo Cup and been involved in numerous controversies over the years including allegedly running a bogus charity, numerous fights with their neighbors, a bitter and protracted legal battle for control of the family winery, and allegedly failing to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars in bills for the America's Polo Cup.
Actually, they fit both the Clinton and Dear Leader mold to a tee. So maybe he was a dear guest.
"The family has been trying to sell the business because, his parents said, Tareq ran it into the ground, piling up as many as 50creditors and almost $1 million in debt while he was its president.
Among its creditors are the Washington Redskins, for whom Michaele used to be a cheerleader.
The couple owes the team $224,000 for season tickets. They also had a $57,000 Carver Mariner yacht, an $80,000 Aston Martin and an Audi that were repossessed.
There is also a $3.5 million fraud suit against the company, plus hundreds of thousands of dollars in credit-card debt and legal fees.
A catering company has sued Tareq Salahi for more than $300,000, claiming he never paid the bill for food for a polo-charity event.
Meanwhile, a purported nonprofit run by the Salahis -- Journey for a Cure, which has claimed to raise millions for research on multiple sclerosis -- was flagged in May by Virginia consumer-affairs officials for failing to apply for tax-exempt status.
Two reality TV idiots upstaged Obama. LMAO
Even the aging hag Couric got punk'd by the party crashers.
By all accounts, they are broke, on the verge of losing their expensive house, and their cars were repo’d.
They just wanted to ask Obama to pay their “gas and mortgage”
If it had been during the Clinton years, the cute blond would have been on her knees in the oval office before dinner was served. And, if discovered, the only question the Sec Svc would have had was, "what newspaper do you write for?".
They just wanted to ask Obama for a personal "bailout" of their financial woes. I'm sure he'll say "yes."
Can't wait for Fox News to get into this fiasco!
Anon 11:36 Fox?
Don't you mean McClatchy? BWHAAAAA
The secret service hasn't changed since Bush, just the administration. Hard to see how this reflects on the President.
=============
Yes it has. The top leadership quit and Obama stacked it with his "Muslim Brothers" Of course you might not know this as it of course never saw daylight in a McClatchy paper.
