This blog is mainly about the spectacular train wreck at The Sacramento Bee and its parent company, the McClatchy Company. But I also post about current events, the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, politics, anything else that grabs my attention. Take a look around this blog, hope you enjoy it.

Interactive map showing pressures facing newspaper industry
The Wall Street Journal has put together an amazing interactive map showing readership and other developments at newspapers across the country. Unfortunately not many McClatchy newspapers are listed but it's fascinating. Click here to see it. . . .
Why it just about brings tears to a grown man’s eye.
Tears of joy that is!
It says 70 people at the Star-Telegram accepted buyouts in October. If this is true, why don't the rest of us know about it?
I am glad you FINALLY decided to blog about this. There is a ton of information that that never got reported but I will tell you what brings tears to the competition's eyes. It is the WSJ's interactive programmers. That is first class work that would make a McClatchy Interactivite look like a Script Kiddie.
