This blog is mainly about the spectacular train wreck at The Sacramento Bee and its parent company, the McClatchy Company. But I also post about current events, the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, politics, anything else that grabs my attention. Take a look around this blog, hope you enjoy it.

Copy editors needed at the Charlotte Observer
Check out this headline posted today on the Charlotte Observer web site. Two of the seven words are misspelled. (Thanks to the reader who sent it in.)
"Petty" is the CO (and the rest of McClatchy, apparently) outsourcing their web site maintenance to Manila or some other place where the locals speak pidgin English and think "unravas" is an actual word.
Can anyone honestly say that there is any semblance of quality control still in effect at the CO? It seems now that whenever they do something right, it's through sheer dumb luck.

You're a petty, petty person.

Why pay more for quality if no one really cares ?
