This blog is mainly about the spectacular train wreck at The Sacramento Bee and its parent company, the McClatchy Company. But I also post about current events, the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, politics, anything else that grabs my attention. Take a look around this blog, hope you enjoy it.

With the money they'd save on severance they could hire a couple more reporters. They only pay them $25,000 to $35,000 anyway.

Pretty good salary for copying the Dem
party line.
Wow. It's many a 26-week cap at the N&O since after the first go-round, those lucky dogs.
Those that left the Sac Bee September 08 got the best package. Everything after that has been less and less.
Those that stayed behind and where later laid off are very bitter. Those still toiling are extra pissed.
If you didn't take the Sept. 08 package, you can only blame yourself. Sac Bee employees have it great compared to other McClatchy papers.
If you stayed, it is on you. You were warned that there may be nothing offered the next round. Too bad, so sad.
