CNN hits a grim milestone

CNN has landed in 4th place 100 times this year in the 25-54 demographic -- a historic low.

Fox News is killing them in the ratings. Killing MSNBC too. Fox is getting record viewership while the lefty cable news channels are being humiliated in the ratings. The country is swinging back to the right.

Sorry, I thought the thread would be about Anderson Pooper doing some sex act live on CNN, all the while calling conservatives “teabaggers”, to boost ratings.

Now back to our regularly scheduled programming

You all owe Anderson Cooper a debt of gratitude. If not for his phony General that they planted in the Republican debate and his slandering of average, everyday normal Americans with his homosexual name calling, most of you all would still be fat, sassy and sound asleep while this country was overthrown right under your noses.

I wouldn't take too much comfort in the leftist media's demise. Without them, the left would own your souls. It's just like the militant homsexuals you all love to hate. When you think about it, they are the only thing that keeps the homosexual agenda from advancing.

Recently I was stuck at the airport for five hours. CNN was streaming the same non-news over and over. I asked if we could watch another channel, and the airline station manager told me CNN news is free as long as they are the exclusive station. Come to think of it, CNN is the only station on at my doctor’s office, or other places where I have to wait. Perhaps that ‘free’ is the reason the worst news channel is being pushed on us. Not long ago I was seated at a restaurant where the TV was in sight. I said I would sit next to the bar area, but I would not have CNN news crammed down my throat with my food. The hostess said they would not turn it off. I just left, and hoped that was not lost on them. I hear that restaurant is crying for business now. I will never go back there, nor will I advise anyone else to go there. It may not mean much, but in these hard times, losing four customers on a regular bases is nuts, IMO.

Of course, the same number (or probably more) would not go back if Faux was on. Contrary to what you may think, you don't speak for everyone.

I wish I understood what 12:13 was talking about. Please decode for me.

SEE: Reference to [Kevin Jennings], President Obama’s Safe Schools Czar. Geez this Czar thing stinks!
Headline:
Santa Claus isn’t just coming to town – he’s coming out of the closet.

“Santa Claus is Coming Out” is an off-Broadway comedy featuring Jeffrey Solomon in a one-man production that tells the story of Jolly Old Saint Nick falling in love with Pinocchio’s father, the Italian toy-maker Geppetto.

“The show plays out against the backdrop of the latest salvo in America’s Culture Wars: the debate on providing gay role models to children,” said Jeffrey Solomon in a statement posted on Playbill. “It was inspired by my research into the parents’ rights movement to keep gay issues out of the classroom.”

The show is also being used as a fundraiser for the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network [(GLSEN), an organization founded by Kevin Jennings, President Obama’s Safe Schools Czar.] GLSEN says the money will be used to “help support our programs that work to make schools safe for all students, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity/expression.”

I watched Olberman and Madow for a few mintues last night. Any idea that they are just the leftie Fox is ridiculous. What a bunch on no talent, made up, ideological silliness. If this is what the left believes, God help them. Their minds have rotted and are teeming with maggots.

That's why only you three other people in the US were watching Olbermann and Maddow last night.

Anderson Cooper has to be really happy about how his career is going. Do you notice how he is not so excited about the teabagger slur anymore?

Olberman makes Glen Beck look like Socrates.

He was regretting that one just a few days after he said it, not because it was a hate filled slander, but because it would cement the type cast that he had accidentally placed on himself. He said himself that he knew that was what he was going to become known for.

Now he can never get a gig as a serious journalist or anchor which is exactly what he was trying to brand himself as. That dude is done, except for where he is at and maybe MSLSD.

CNN is dying. Cooper will carry his full share of the blame.

Ted Turner is threatening to return to CNN and save it. Yeah right, and Hanoi Jane can take Larry King’s place. That will bring the ratings way up.

"Fox News is killing them in the ratings. Killing MSNBC too."

Hate to do this but there's a dark lining to your silver cloud.

I'll concede first that it's true. Fox News is tops in cable news, but in case you hadn't noticed there's a seismic shift happening in the media and people are moving away from print sources and television to the Web. Cable TV news is rapidly becoming an anachronism and being supplanted by the Internet.

Got some alarming news for you. CNN and MSNBC absolutely trounce Fox News on the Web. It's not even a contest.

See, it turns out that the conservative viewers Fox draws are apparently a lot less tech-savvy than the audience CNN and MSNBC draws. So, CNN and MSNBC viewership tend to prefer getting their news from the Web and mobile devices and RSS feeds and the like, whereas Fox News viewership is a little more traditional and not as Web-oriented.

So, yeah, Fox News is king of hill of a dying format, and they have yet to compete effectively in the new.

I'm not exactly sure just what kind of idiot you are, but Cable is not being replaced by anything. Fox news is growing by leaps and bounds. Actually, I don't believe that you would say anything quite so stupid. It is truly one of the dumbest things anyone has ever said here.

@10:11 PM

I think it's curious that I gave you an opinion supported by a number of facts that are easily verifiable with a 30-second Google search and instead of reasoned argument, you chose to react with ad hominem nonsense. Seems I may have struck a nerve.

And yes, friend, TV news viewership, especially cable news, is on the decline. Fox News may be bucking the trend but it's only temporary. It's slow now, but like the slightest newspaper decline we saw in the early 2000s, it's going to pick up speed and become undeniable. And hey, maybe we'll all be talking on a blog about the decline of cable news instead of newspaper.

What a dumbass. You can't make money on the internet like you can with a cable news channel. TV pays the bills. And while CNN's web traffic is the highest (that's because of its International brand name), Fox currently is way ahead of MSNBC's website in traffic. It's more than 6 million monthly visitors up on MSNBC!
Nobody talks about web traffic because it doesn't generate enough revenue. Real money is in Cable TV news ratings.

Dipshit please. Cable subscriptions are on the rise and revenue is growing. Your stupid ass only thinks it is declining because your leftist mouthpieces are losing viewers on a daily basis.
