This blog is mainly about the spectacular train wreck at The Sacramento Bee and its parent company, the McClatchy Company. But I also post about current events, the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, politics, anything else that grabs my attention. Take a look around this blog, hope you enjoy it.

Lee Enterprises cancels company-paid health insurance for more than one hundred retirees
Isn't a union supposed to stand up for their own? I am willing to bet a fine bottle of scotch that the union will just suck it up and move on. Like usual, "move along, there is nothing to see here".
Company-paid health insurance for retirees is a thing of the past. That is one of the burdens that helped to wreck the U.S. auto industry. It is also one of the reasons that healthcare reform should include a public option or an expansion of Medicare to cover those 55 and over if they need it.

That is plain effing wrong what they are doing.

The union picketed Tuesday morning. I've posted photos at a video at Lee Watch: http://leewatch.blogspot.com
