Merry Fist-mas Media Matters… No, We’re Not Finished Yet …Update: GOP Rep Introduces Legislation to Fire Kevin Jennings (GatewayPundit

Media Matters congratulated itself yesterday for its stellar defense of Barack Obama’s Safe Schools Czar Kevin Jennings whose organization held conferences where teens as young as 14 years old were taught about fisting (”It gets a bad rap.“) and the joys of pi$$ing on their partner.

The fact that Kevin Jennings’ GLSEN organization also pushed porn in the classroom was defended as a non-scandal by the Media Matters folks.

Here are a few of the reports defended by Media Matters this week:

FistGate: Jennings Conference Promoted Dangerous ‘Fisting’

FistGate II: Jennings Conference Distributes ‘Fisting’ Kits

FistGate III: ‘Little Black Book: Queer in the 21st Century’

FistGate IV: Gay Bar Guides for Teens

FistGate V: Teacher Laments, ‘Fisting…often Gets a Bad Rap’

FistGate VI: ‘No Dookie on Your Noodle’

Those are a few of the articles this week related to Barack Obama’s Safe Schools Czar Kevin Jennings.

But, were not finished yet...There’s more to come.

Here’s a clue for what’s up next– It has something to do with this photo:

Barack Obama’s “Safe Schools Czar” was the keynote speaker at the GLSEN/Boston Conference at Tufts University in 2000.

High school students at the conference learned about fisting and watersports from the GLSEN activists. Jennings is seen here holding the conference program. (Via Mass Resistance)

Sleep tight, Media Matters. There’s more to come.

By the way… Rep. Michael Burgess M.D. (R-TX) introduced H. Res. 966 on Friday: Calling on the President and the Secretary of Education to fire Kevin Jennings from his post.

Kevin Jennings: Teaching Your Kids to Live the Porn Life (Pajamas Media)

If you get your news exclusively through the mainstream media, you don’t know Kevin Jennings.

Of course, if you get your news exclusively through the mainstream media, you don’t read Pajamas Media.

Even if you get your news through blogs, you still may have missed Kevin Jennings. It’s not easy to write about this man, even if you are informed.

Kevin Jennings is President Obama’s “safe schools” czar.

Kevin Jennings also kept silent about a sexual relationship between a much older man and a former student, wants to segregate gay children in school, praised the NAMBLA founder, and taught in schools (with children) for years.

There is much more. Why has it taken me so long to write on this topic? Mostly because it’s rendered me speechless.

I’ve been reading Jim Hoft’s amazing, breaking stories. The latest is that Republicans are calling, finally, for the firing of Jennings. But what’s to say?

It’s horrifying.

Here are the topics: fisting, fisting kits (yes, as in demonstrations and how-to’s), spit or swallow?, gay bar guide for teenagers, and more.

Which Prostitution Scandal Is Worse, Tiger Woods or Max Baucus? (Max used taxpayer loot)

Tiger Woods was into threesomes and shelled out more than $60,000 to cat around with high-priced hookers, a Hollywood madam claimed Thursday.

One of his favorites was Loredana Jolie,' Michelle Braun told the Daily News, describing the gorgeous blond as a Playboy model from Sicily who's been living in New York since age 14.

'She's a stunning girl,' said Braun," who I guess is the madam here. "'He went out with her four or five times. She took part in group sex. They met up in 2006 or early 2007. I'd say he paid $15,000for her.' Woods 'had a pretty big appetite for women.' added Braun, as the world famous athlete's list of extramarital 'transgressions' continues to grow."

Democrat Max Baucus, a senator, paying for sex with taxpayer money?

Now, it's rumor about Woods. We just have this New York Daily News story, but for the sake of argument, let's look at Tiger Woods versus Max Baucus.

Let's say that Tiger spent his money on a woman for his adult needs. Compare that with what the Politico is reporting on Democrat Senator Max Baucus of Montana, the chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, the author, in large part, of this debacle of a health care bill in the Senate. Democrat Max Baucus gave a $14,000 pay raise, which is taxpayer money, to his love interest staffer and then took her on a taxpayer-funded trip.

Trying to reach a decision here. There are laws against prostitution in some states, but there may not be a law against what Baucus did. Tiger's married, but so was Baucus.

"Senator Max Baucus" -- (Democrat-Montana) who never met a tax increase he didn't like -- "chairman of the powerful Senate Finance Committee, gave a nearly $14,000 pay raise to a female staffer 2008, at the time he was becoming romantically involved with her, and later that year took her on a taxpayer-funded trip to Southeast Asia and the Middle East, though foreign policy was not her specialty."

Late last Friday, Baucus acknowledged his relationship with Melodee Hanes, whom he nominated for the job of US attorney in Montana, after it was first reported on the website MainJustice.com.

But he said that Hanes withdrew from consideration for the job when the relationship became more serious.

The next day, he dismissed calls for an ethics investigation, saying, 'I went out of my way to be up and up.'" What does that mean -- Viagra?

"Since his announcement, more details of the relationship have emerged, raising questions about a workplace romance between a boss and employee that Baucus tried to keep quiet also contradicting his explanation for why Hanes' nomination was withdrawn."

Tiger Woods, private citizen, Tiger Woods can't raise your taxes, Tiger Woods can't send your kids off to war, Tiger Woods can't do anything to you, except affect you positively or negatively, depending on your degree of fandom.

Max Baucus can write a health care piece of legislation that can destroy the private sector of this country.

He can raise your taxes left and right, he loves doing it, and he can appoint cronies, girlfriends, to jobs in the federal judiciary and then give her a $14,000 raise -- none of it with his money.

Baucus' Ex-Wife Once Defended Anita Hill Against 'Thug' Senators
(FoxNews)

Baucus' Ex-Wife Once Defended Anita Hill Against 'Thug' Senators
Wanda Baucus, dragged into the spotlight by the revelation that her divorce from Sen. Max Baucus of Montana may have been plotted partly by his staffer-turned-girlfriend, once spoke out on behalf of Anita Hill during Clarence Thomas' contentious Supreme Court confirmation hearings

Wendy Baucus said at the time that Hill had suffered at the hands of senators acting like "a bunch of thugs."

Now Wendy Baucus is suffering at the hand of her ex-husband, after a Lee Newspapers report on billing documents that show Sen. Baucus' former state director, Melodee Hanes, met at least twice with his divorce attorney eight months before the Baucuses separated.

The two divorced in April. Hanes now is Sen. Baucus' live-in girlfriend.

Loophole Would Allow Health Coverage Limit [Large Enough To Drive A Mac-Truck Through!] (AP Report)

Loophole Would Allow Health Coverage Limits Insurance companies could place annual dollar limits on care

Dec. 11: Wendell Potter, former CIGNA Vice President, explains a loophole in the Senate health care reform bill, which bans insurance companies from putting lifetime limits on coverage but not annual limits.

WASHINGTON - A loophole in the Senate health care bill would let insurance companies place annual dollar limits on medical care for people struggling with costly illnesses such as cancer.

Adding to the confusion, the language is tucked away in a clause of the bill captioned "No lifetime or annual limits."

Advocates for patients say it fails to deliver on that promise.

"The primary purpose of insurance is to protect people against catastrophic loss," said Stephen Finan, a policy expert with the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network.

"If you put a limit on benefits, by definition it's going to affect people who are dealing with catastrophic loss."

'Obamaville' sign posted near homeless camp (kjct.8.com) They’re not homeless, they’re carbon neutral.

Someone has put a lot of thought into a welcome sign that may surprise you, it's in front of a homeless camp off I-25 in Colorado Springs.

Its message, "Welcome to Obamaville, Colorado's fastest growing community."

Despite repeated calls no one could answer the question, who put up the sign?

To some homeless the sign's message says enough. Mark Limonez, a homeless man living in "tent city", says the sign doesn't make him feel good about trying to get back on his feet.

"Guys are trying to work but there's not enough work out there, so they go pan handling or flag a sign" Limonez says, "I've never seen so many camps since I've been out in the streets - there's no money."

There are no logos on the front of the sign and no clues to where it comes from.

Daily Presidential Tracking Poll (-16!) (Rasmussen Reports ) All time low alert “How’s Gibbs gonna spin it this time?” He’s coming up a few crayons short ... and, I think even the MSM is tiring of it.

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Saturday shows that 25% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President.

Forty-one percent (41%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -16. That’s the lowest Approval Index rating yet recorded for this President (see trends).

The 25% who Strongly Approve matches the lowest level of enthusiasm yet recorded.

That’s partly the result of declining enthusiasm among Democrats. While Democrats continue to offer their approval, just 43% Strongly Approve.

Senate Democrats Defeat Republican Filibuster on $1.1 Trillion Spending Bill (Foxnews)

WASHINGTON (AP) - The Democratic-controlled Senate has defeated a GOP filibuster of a huge year-end spending bill.

The 60-34 vote during a rare Saturday session sets the stage for a final vote Sunday afternoon on the $1.1 trillion measure.

The bill combines generous increases for domestic agencies and foreign aid with a 2 percent average pay raise for federal workers.

The 1,000-plus page bill includes $447 billion in operating budgets with about $650 billion in payments for federal benefit programs such as Medicare and Medicaid.

It also contains more than 5,000 back-home projects sought by lawmakers in both parties.

The legislation bundles six of the 12 annual spending bills, capping a dysfunctional appropriations process in which Senate Republicans dragged out debates on the routine measures.

Dems to Skyrocket National Debt: Obama’s Leadership Failure?
(Flopping Aces)

"Raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure."

--Sen. Barack Obama from a speech he delivered on the Senate floor, March 16, 2006

Obama spoke those words in 2006 when Republicans still controlled Congress.

One year later, when Democrats were in charge and began the first of their record increases in debt Obama didn't even show up to vote.

He was too busy running for President. In 2008 he did show up to vote FOR increasing the debt under a Democrat plan.

In February 2009 Democrats again raised the debt ceiling $789 billion to pay for the first installment of Obama's government takeover.

Ten months later they are back again, asking for another $1.8 TRILLION increase in the debt limit.

It's the largest single increase in the debt limit and part of an accelerating pattern of increases since Democrats took control of Congress in January 2007.

According to the White House Office of Management and Budget during the 12 years Republicans controlled Congress the debt was increased by slightly more than $4 trillion.

Under less than three years of Democrat control the debt is set to increase by more nearly $5 trillion.

Obama campaigned on a promise of fiscal responsibility. He had the audacity to hold one of his White House "Summits" on fiscal responsibility in February where he once again promised:

"We need to send a signal that we are serious" about solving these fiscal problems.

Going Lame (JamieWearingFool)

These Democrats and their obsession with Sarah Palin is bordering on the comical.

Unable to stem to runaway sales of her book Going Rogue with the weak imposter Going Rouge (Amazon ranking: 1,050), the publisher of a book from Barack Obama flunkie David Plouffe attempted a PR stunt in hopes of just outselling Palin for a single day.

Result? Epic fail.

Former Barack Obama campaign manager David Plouffe is getting his butt kicked by Sarah Palin at bookstores -- and the publishers of his "The Audacity to Win" have issued a plea to boost sales.

Noting that Palin's tome, "Going Rogue," is "selling like crazy," Penguin posted a challenge on its Web site to "Beat Palin's Book for a Day."

It said: "For just one day . . . let's try to make the sales of David Plouffe's [book] overtake Palin's." Yesterday, Palin was No. 1 on Amazon, with Plouffe at No. 231.

Plouffe's book has now actually inched up to 212. Good luck with those sales, knuckleheads.

Al Gore's Current TV Rips Obama's Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony (GatewayPundit)

Following in comedian Jon Stewart's footsteps, Al Gore's Current TV mocked President Obama's Nobel Peace Prize ceremony Friday.

In a "SuperNews" segment, animator Josh Faure-Brac showed Nobel Chairman Thorbjorn Jagland getting uncomfortable with the idea of giving the President a peace prize while he's sending 30,000 more troops to war.

Frustrated by the exchange, Obama turned the tables on Jagland asking him to solve the problem in Afghanistan.

After fumbling for an answer, Jagland marvelously said, "Maybe if we found a charismatic leader who had the entire planet shouting, 'Hope' and 'Yes we can,' maybe then we would be in a position to change things.

But where we going to find a guy like that?"

This angered Obama, who said, "I am not the Messiah," and eventually grabbed his prize storming off the stage claiming, "I got s**t to do"

Jimmy Carter: Abuse of Women Including Genital Mutilation is the Fault of Catholics & Southern Baptists (GatewayPundit)

America’s worst president attacked Catholics and Southern Baptists for the abuse of women in a speech he gave in Australia.

He even blamed these traditional religious groups for female genital mutilation. Lifesite News reported:

In an address to a gathering sponsored by the World Parliament of Religions (PWR) last Friday, former US President Jimmy Carter has once again blamed traditional religion, particularly Southern Baptists and Roman Catholics, for “creating an environment where violations against women are justified.”

...In opposition to the vast majority of authentic scholars and historians, Carter asserted: “It’s clear that during the early Christian era women served as deacons, priests, bishops, apostles, teachers and prophets.”

He added: “It wasn’t until the 4th century or the 3rd at the earliest that dominant Christian leaders, all men, twisted and distorted Holy Scriptures to perpetuate their ascendant position within the religious hierarchy.”

Contrary to the theorizing of Carter, Pope John Paul II taught, “The Lord Jesus chose men to form the college of the twelve apostles, and the apostles did the same when they chose collaborators to succeed them in their ministry.”

He added: “the Church recognizes herself to be bound by this choice made by the Lord himself. For this reason the ordination of women is not possible.” (Catechism of the Catholic Church; 1577)

Carter singled out the Southern Baptist Convention and Roman Catholic Church, claiming that they “view that the Almighty considers women to be inferior to men.”

However, both Christian faiths hold to the Scriptural truth that God created men and women equal.

“Their continuing choice provides a foundation or justification for much of the pervasive persecution and abuse of women throughout the world,” said Carter.

Carter goes on to list horrific violations against women such as rape, genital mutilation, abortion of female embryos and spousal battery.

Responding to Carter’s nearly identical points in July, John Paul Meenan, Professor of Theology at Our Lady Seat of Wisdom Academy in Barry’s Bay, Ontario characterized Carter’s points as “ridiculous,” noting that there was no evidence of the ordination of women in the early Church.

Last I checked it was the Muslims who performed female genital mutilation.

But, Jimmy Carter would never have the guts to single out Muslims like that.

What Happened To That Whole War For Oil? (JamieWearingFool)

Remember back in the heyday of the antiwar protests after our decision to invade Iraq?

One of the biggest talking points from the loony left was that this was all about oil.

They constantly chanted "No more war of oil" while parading around in their god awful ugly uniforms or, in the case of Code Pink when they were smearing fake blood on then-Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.

Well if this whole thing was about oil, the US certainly got screwed in the bidding for the rights to Iraqi oil fields that was held recently.

A consortium led by Russia's private oil giant won the biggest prize of Iraq's second oil auction this year, nabbing a field initially promised them a decade ago by Saddam Hussein while other companies Saturday showed little interest in offerings outside the secure southern part of the country.

Lukoil and Norway's Statoil ASA won rights to develop the 12.88 billion barrel West Qurna Phase 2 field in the Basra region, beating out three other consortiums led by France's Total SA, Malaysia's state-run Petronas and British giant BP PLC.

The shocking lesson from the climate scandal (The American Thinker)

President Obama's complete lack of concern for the fraudulent science associated with global warming is contrasted with the common sense of Sarah Palin.

The gutsy Alaskan suggested that Obama ought to hold his horses on the whole climate change thing until The real verdict is in.

Of course, the smartest man in the world will have none of that.

With the outrageous news of deceit, fraud and suppression of opposing evidence by top climate change "scientists," many conservatives had expected to see the story unfold a little differently (with actual reporting and investigating).

Global warming, aka, climate change has been heralded as the preeminent story of our time.

As such, the exposing of scientific fraud in the ultimate "science" movement would have made screaming headline news in a sane world.

WSJ, Tarento: If the AMA Are Climate Experts, Then Maybe CBS Reporters Should Let Weathermen Perform Surgery on Them (NewsBusters)

James Taranto of the Wall Street Journal relayed that CBS reporter Wyatt Andrews noted ClimateGate just long enough to dismiss it.

After quoting Rep. James Sensenbrenner finding "fraud" in the data, Andrews rebutted:

But if that's true, it is a fraud adopted by most of the world's leading scientists, along with NASA, the United Nations, the American Medical Association, and the National Academies of Science of 32 countries including the United States.

And to most of them ClimateGate is a sideshow compared to one overwhelming fact:

"The last decade is the warmest decade on record," said Michael Mann.

Taranto also objected to Andrews quoting ClimateGate scandal figure Michael Mann as the unquestioned expert of his piece, as if all his talk of playing "tricks" with the data and squeezing skeptics out of scientific journals doesn’t strain his credibility.

Andrews continued: Mann is the Penn State climate professor who's being lampooned in that video.

Mann says "hide the decline" was never an attempt to deceive - it was the use of real global temperatures, to show a real upward trend.

"Those who deny the existence of this problem, who don't have the science on their side have instead engaged in a smear campaign to distract the public and distract policy makers," Mann said.

Taranto explained:

Michael Mann, of course, is the man who developed the "trick" to "hide the decline" in temperatures.

To shore up his severely damaged credibility, CBS introduces his quote with a wide-ranging appeal to authority--but its wide range serves only to underscore how preposterous it is.

If the American Medical Association is an authority on climate, perhaps the next time Wyatt Andrews needs surgery, he could let a weatherman operate.

It's a global con job: 'Warming' science collapsing (NY Post)

President Obama flies to Copenhagen next week for a fresh round of taxes and spending. To slay an imaginary beast called "global warming," Obama and other leaders will discuss a treaty that forces industrialized nations to shake themselves down and enrich the developing world.

Even worse, Copenhagen occurs as fresh evidence emerges that core scientific findings on global warming are not really scientific.

The official draft Copenhagen treaty establishes its own oversight body that will execute "public policies . . . to which the market rules and related dynamics should be subordinate."

MSNBC's Matthews: 'Miserable' Culture 'Pleasures Itself' Over Argument there Isn't Climate Change (NewsBusters)

Leave it to MSNBC "Hardball" host Chris Matthews to go into creepy mode over the possibility one could be skeptical about the theory of anthropogenic global warming.

On his Dec. 11 broadcast, the same guy who got a thrill up his leg over President Barack Obama and made an awkward pass at CNBC host Erin Burnett on live television, used a bizarre portrayal to describe those who don't ascribe to the theory that man is causing the globe's temperature to increase (emphasis added).

"Well, what do you think when you read these miserable people in The Wall Street Journal op-ed pages?

And I -- I picked The Wall Street Journal. I don't get it. There's some kind of culture out there that sits around and talks to itself, and pleases -- pleasures itself, I should say, over the argument that there isn't any climate change. What is in their breakfast that makes them do this?

Why do they ignore science? Maybe they're the same people that ignore the evidence of evolution and millions of years of bones.

What is it about them that just -- and they're -- and they're pandered to by the editors of The Wall Street Journal and other organs, like Fox News."

Climategate reaches the British House of Lords (Watts up with That)

Lord Turnbull: My Lords, on first reading the Committee on Climate Change’s latest progress report, I found it an impressive document.

It was broad in scope and very detailed. But the more I dug into it the more troubled I became.

Below the surface there are serious questions about the foundations on which it has been constructed.

There are questions in four areas-the framework created by the Climate Change Act 2008, the policy responses at EU and UK level, the estimate of costs and finally the scientific basis on which the whole scheme of things rests. I will consider each in turn.

Unlike many of those involved in the climate change field, I have no pecuniary interest to declare, but I am a founder trustee of the Global Warming Policy Foundation, which seeks to bring rationality, objectivity and, above all, tolerance to the debate.

It's Come to This: Climate Kooks Want to Limit Births (JamieWearingFool)

Hey, China's doing such a great job forcing people to have only one child, so let's all get in on it!

The "inconvenient truth" overhanging the UN's Copenhagen conference is not that the climate is warming or cooling, but that humans are overpopulating the world.

snip

The intelligence behind this is the following:

-If only one child per female was born as of now, the world's population would drop from its current 6.5 billion to 5.5 billion by 2050, according to a study done for scientific academy Vienna Institute of Demography.

-By 2075, there would be 3.43 billion humans on the planet. This would have immediate positive effects on the world's forests, other species, the oceans, atmospheric quality and living standards.

Immediate positive effects 66 years from now. Good grief.

On the upside, this moron won't be around in 2075, so that will save plenty of brain cells.

How a New York Times Columnist Hurts Fellow Blacks (Townhall.com)

If you had hope that the election of a black president might improve black-white relations in America, reading the column by Charles M. Blow in Saturday's New York Times will effectively crush it.

Mr. Blow, who is black, wrote of his despair that the election of Barack Obama will achieve anything positive for blacks or for black-white relations.

In fact, according to Mr. Blow, and one suspects the great majority of black and white liberals, things have not only not gotten better for blacks, racism -- meaning, of course, white racism against blacks since no other form of racism is discussed in the New York Times -- has actually increased.

His proof for this charge?

"We are now inundated with examples of overt racism on a scale to which we are unaccustomed."

And what are his examples of "overt racism on a scale to which we are unaccustomed"? He provided two.

The first and presumably most important is that "Racially offensive images of the first couple are so prolific online that Google now runs an apologetic ad with the results of image searches of them."

Having never seen a racially offensive image of the first couple, I was curious about what Mr. Blow was referring to.

Though I spend hours a day researching on the Web, I had somehow overlooked how "inundated" the Web is with racist images.

Luckily, Mr. Blow provides a URL --an Internet link -- to make his case.

I clicked on the link, and sure enough, there is a statement by Google titled "An explanation of our search results," in which Google notes that "Sometimes Google search results from the Internet can include disturbing content, even from innocuous queries.

We assure you that the views expressed by such sites are not in any way endorsed by Google."

The statement continues along those lines, but there is not a word about racism, blacks, the first couple, or anything related.

It is a generic apology, one that I had never in fact encountered.

So not having had any luck corroborating Mr. Blow's accusation of "overt racism on a scale to which we are unaccustomed" on the Internet, I searched "first couple," clicked on "images," even making sure that the Google filter was turned off, and all I saw were hundreds of beautiful images of the beautiful-looking first couple.

I then searched on "Michelle and Barack Obama pictures" and got similar results.

One must conclude that Mr. Blow wildly exaggerated, if not made it up, when he wrote that America is "inundated" with "overt racism" on the Internet (or anywhere else).

His second argument for an increasingly racist America is: "And it's not all words and images (again, none of which I saw); it's actions as well.

According to the Federal Bureau of Investigation's 2008 hate crimes data released last week, anti-black hate crimes rose 4 percent from 2007..."

Wow. A 4 percent increase in anti-black hate crime.

Is that an indication of a major increase in anti-black racism in America? You decide.

Detroit's public schools post worst scores on record in national assessment (Crain's Detroit Business)

The Detroit Public Schools posted the worst scores on record in the most recent test of students in large central U.S. cities.

The scores came on the Trial Urban District Assessment, a national test developed by the Governing Board, the National Center for Education Statistics of the U.S. Department of Education and the Council of the Great City Schools.

The test for urban districts is part of the National Assessment of Educational Progress test given to school districts nationwide.

“There is no jurisdiction of any kind, at any level, at any time in the 30-year history of NAEP that has ever registered such low numbers,” said Michael Casserly, executive director of the Council on Great City Schools, a Washington, D.C.-based coalition of urban school districts.

“They are barely above what one would expect simply by chance, as if the kids simply guessed at the answers,” he said.

DPS fourth-graders scored in the 9th percentile and eight-graders were in the 12th percentile when compared with students in 17 other large, central U.S. cities.

Detroit's fourth graders received an overall score of 200 on a scale of 0-500, putting the city dead last among the other 17 large central U.S. cities grouped together in the NAEP test.

Detroit extorting its own teachers to meet payroll, forcing them to make $10k no interest “loans” (The Collins Report) Democrat run for 50 years. Now, just like in Russia: “They pretend to pay us and we pretend to work.”

Detroit’s school system is disintegrating by the week.

Detroit has sunk to robbing its own teachers to scrape payroll funds together. Public School teachers are being extorted by their City with the full cooperation of their own union.

Under a proposal submitted for membership ratification each INDIVIDUAL teacher will be forced to “loan” the City of Detroit $10,000 in $250.00 increments ripped out of their bi-monthly checks for 40 weeks starting in January.

These “loans” are repayable upon retirement or resignation WITHOUT interest.

If this story was happening under George Bush in a Republican state instead of in liberal Democrat Detroit Michigan it would be the lead story across America.

Bad choice; worse choice
The alternative plan, in case the victims turn this one down, is for the school system to cut teacher salaries by $36,000!

How extorting $10,000 “voluntarily” from the teachers would solve the problem, but $36,000 involuntarily extorted from these teacher victims is required to solve the crisis wasn’t explained.

Maybe it’s time to just shut Detroit down

The National Assessment of Educational Progress that measures the mathematics abilities of grade school children released a report this week showing Detroit’s 4th and 8th graders had the worst scores in the country and the history of these tests.

Just 31% of 4th graders and 23% of 8th graders scored at or above grade level.

Fifty years of corrupt Democrat governance has finally crushed the last flickers of life out of Detroit’s schools.

Keep in mind Detroit is the city that recently saw its Council President (John Conyers’ wife Monica) sent to federal prison for SELLING her vote to a contractor.

A City without a functioning public school system can’t survive no matter how the media lies about the situation. People can’t live where their children can’t get educated.

The Detroitification of America (theTrumpet.com) Liberals should be proud of Detroit, after all it was their policies that created or should I say destroyed it...

Like a forgotten downtown billboard, Detroit proclaims a warning about the rest of America for any who will stop and look.

If ever an American city was a warning for the nation, it is Detroit. Its crumbling mansions, overgrown boulevards and abandoned factories drive a message home to those who will pay attention.

We cannot afford to ignore Detroit any longer. Why? What killed Detroit is killing America.

Detroit was destroyed by crime, unions, and a ravenous state. In other words by democrats.

Thus the word is never mentioned in the article. Instead it goes so far as to blame the rise of unions on big business

Detroit's Silverdome sells for a paltry $583,000 (less than 1% of value)(The Business Insider )

Even though some homes in Detroit literally sell for $1, we're still surprised to see how little an entire stadium fetches. In this case it's the famous Pontiac Silverdome

Detroit News: Nearly 25 years after taxpayers spent $55.7 million building the Pontiac Silverdome and a year after a $20 million sale fell through, city officials have sold the arena once called the most desirable property in Oakland County.

The price: $583,000.
The broker, David J. Leitch, is quite upset about the final selling price. And hey, can you blame him?

"The property alone, at $10,000 an acre, should have gone for more than that. And you have the Silverdome, its contents, and the infrastructure already in place. I had estimated it would probably go for between $1.2 million and $3 million. I can't believe it."

Boatloads of money spent, but few jobs (Michigan Live)

For an obscene price tag, this year's $787 billion federal stimulus has delivered precious little to Jackson County, Michigan or the nation. The public should be skeptical whether the federal government can be trusted to implement a second, smaller stimulus to create jobs.

President Obama last week called on Congress to spend more — as much as $200 billion, by some estimates — to put people to work. The nation's unemployment stands at 10 percent (in Michigan, it's 14.2 percent), and surveys suggest that large companies will continue to shrink their work forces in the coming months.

Of course, wasn't the first stimulus — the optimistically titled American Recovery and Reinvestment Act — supposed to prevent much of this? This federal spending spree has helped the economy some, but not enough considering its size or how it is inflating the federal debt.

Daily Presidential Tracking Poll (The Dam Bursts: -19!!!)

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Sunday shows that 23% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President.

Forty-two percent (42%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -19.

Today is the second straight day that Obama’s Approval Index rating has fallen to a new low. Prior to the past two days, the Approval Index had never fallen below -15 during Obama’s time in office (see trends).

‘Mad Max’ Baucus had a pattern of romancing his staff it seems. It may be the press should look into his prior activities? Yeah right!

Excerpt:
“Baucus also once was accused of sexual harassment. His former chief of staff, claiming that she was fired for rejecting his persistent sexual advances, filed a civil suit against him a decade ago, seeking monetary damages.
Christine Niedermeier also claimed Baucus failed to follow through on a "substantial" settlement package he promised her. But Baucus' office denied her charges and maintained he fired her because she was abusive toward her staff, and the civil suit was dismissed.”

Read the whole article to assess the scumbag that is help writing our healthcare disaster.

*Max Baucus the cheating Senator.* Do you expect to see that headline form the AP? The fringe media wrote thousands of articles about a SC governor caught in a love scandal which really only concerned the people of that state. However, Max Baucus has been in the center of writing the healthcare bill on the Senate side, and we read nothing about his immoral behavior. What a 'scumbag' is right. His girlfriend helped write his divorce agreement before his wife knew anything about it. Geeez,‘scumbag’ is being too kind.

I wonder if Pelosi is going to drain the swamp before or after the next election? If she would start her plumbing promise before the election, the Dems would be minus a few sewer rats.

First Obama attacked Fox News, and that didn’t work out too well. Now Herr Gibbels attacks the Gallup pollsters for releasing this phony propaganda as a poll. Odd, ahead of their plundering votes, the polls were the ’Debt President’s best argument for passage, because the majority agreed with the ‘Won.’ What happened to that majority? The Fringe Media is not a bit happy with these poll numbers lately. If the newspapers had more than a few pages, they could hide the polls way back there. Now days, the way back there is page 10.

Why do you keep posting the same thing over and over. If I wanted to know about Obama's disastrous first year, his fisting czar, Pelosi's gang of criminals or climatequiddick I could just read my local McClatchy paper.

Oh wait........,

-Obama Continues to Prove He Is a Muslim-
Canada Free Press
Jerry McConnell

Obama is just doing his duty as the duly appointed Muslim usurper to the Office of the President to deliver America to the world of Islam. People who scoff at this information will suffer the most when the great seduction is complete and many Christian heads have rolled. I for one will at least not be surprised.

"Obamaphiles"- That's a good one.

Sign of the times: Obamavilles
American Thinker, by Ralph Alter
While Obamaphiles love to compare B.O. to previous American presidents Abe Lincoln and FDR, events on the ground suggest that another comparison might be more appropriate. A sign posted anonymously outside a tent city near Colorado Springs suggests that Obama's legacy is more likely to be akin to that of Herbert Hoover.

Climategate exposes the left-scientific partnership? In addition to the left-MSM partnership, the left-Acorn partnership, etc., etc., etc!!!!

The wages of climategate
American Thinker, by J.R. Dunn

Climategate is the worst blow the left has received in quite some time. The only comparable episode in recent years is Rathergate, involving the bogus documents "proving" George W. Bush's malfeasance as regards his service in the Texas Air National Guard. Climategate promises to be of even greater consequence. (snip) as the CRU uproar plays itself out, it may well fracture the left-scientific partnership that has distorted scientific research for decades

Bush better than Obama
on Aids in Africa
East African (Nairobi, Kenya)

Activists are expressing disappointment with President Barack Obama’s plans for the Aids treatment programme in Africa, charging that he has fallen short of the achievements of his predecessor, George W. Bush. “President Obama has all but failed to fulfil his commitments...,” (Snip)Gregg Gonsalves, a leading US anti-Aids campaigner, warned an audience in New York last week, “I am about to say something shocking: I miss George W Bush.”

Leftist media says, “Leave our cheating Senator Baucus alone!“ The corrupt media wrote tons of vile articles about Sarah Palin’s family, but can’t find the time to scribble a few lines about the ex.-Mrs. Baucas being cheated on and divorced, after 25 years of marriage, without a clue her husband had a lover in his office. Let’s see, sweetie gets a huge raise, a goodie-trip with the boss, a big job nomination, and who knows what else? Maybe Max and Bill can trade enhanced cigar stories.

KC Star shorted single copy Sunday buyers on purpose. Seriously. Today's $2 Sunday paper contained only the A-C (Main, Local, Sports) and E sections, plus advertisements. (E section is essentially ad-driven home decorating section.) No coupons, unclear if all advertisements were included. Subscribers received normal papers. Apparent marketing ploy to force people to subscribe, and possibly end single copy sales? WTF?

6:08 PM Someone F$%^ed up royally I will bet. I noticed home delivers were delivered in two separate bags one later than the other. My bet is they shorted their run and robbed the single sales to make up for it.
