Ted Kennedy has a date, with an income tax free state. (Establish Florida residency to avoid MA taxes) (Red Mass Group)

I finally figured out why Ted Kennedy wants to have Governor Devoid Patrickakis appoint someone to replace him - Ted is staying in Florida.

Ted has been in Florida since he collapsed at an Obama inauguration dinner many months ago.

Like his dear mother Rose, Teddy wants to establish Florida as his primary residence in order to avoid those massive estate taxes and dreaded Massachusetts income taxes.

This is important because Teddy has a new book coming out and he wants the income from that book to be declared tax free in Florida - not Taxachusetts.

The same way we all marveled at the fact that Rose was simultaneously declared the oldest resident of Barnstable even though she was living in Florida.

Ted Kennedy doesn't really want to save Massachusetts from under-representation in Washington. He wants to save himself millions on estate taxes and income taxes.

Ted Kennedy should be living in Massachusetts where he has the options of the finest medical care in the world. After all, he is the sitting senior Senator from this state so the very least he could do is be here.

But no, Ted is in Florida! There is only one reason sick people leave Massachusetts and go to Florida - TAXES!

I wonder if Ted's estate will try to claim he was a Florida resident to escape taxes, like his mother Rose did.

After all, he did try to claim a homestead exemption on his DC home until he got caught. Blamed it on the bookkeeper.

When Teddy's mother, Rose Kennedy, died, her estate was probated in much more inheritance-friendly Florida, where she had a home, and not in Massachusetts.

Petty concerns about such trivialities as the law that requires estates be probated where the person had their legal home were just shrugged aside.

Never mind that one has to actually LIVE in a state to be a resident; even though Rose hadn't left Massachusetts in about twelve years, her family insisted that in her heart, she just KNEW she was a Floridian and wanted her estate settled that way.

They Just Couldn't Resist (You Tube)

What these sleazebags won't do to pass national health care! Dems today pushed for Obamacare at Teddy Kennedy's funeral.

And, they used a child as a prop.
They politicized Ted Kennedy's funeral just as they politicized Wellstone's -- before the body was even cold.

They even booed Tom DeLay and then-Gov. Jesse Ventura for the horrible crime of paying their respects.

This is shameful conduct by shameless people.

Interview of John Farrar, Chappaquiddick diver (youtube)

From 1994, Howie Carr, then with WHDH AM 850 talks with John Farrar who discovered Mary Jo Kopechne's body. He was pressured not to talk about his discoveries.
excerpt:

Howie Carr: John let me just get this straight..your belief is that while Ted Kennedy was walking past all these houses back towards the "party house" where we're broadcasting from now, Mary Jo was still alive.

Farrar: Uh, that is correct.

Carr: And she would have been alive probably for about an hour, do you think.

Farrar: I think that's most reasonable--an hour if not longer, that's correct.

Carr: How fast do you think the car was going when it hit the water?

Farrar: That has been proved by several different engineers--one on Chappaquiddick, the Registrar of Motor Vehicles, uh, and others to be between 35 and 45, 35 and 40 miles an hour.

However the court only accepted 20 miles an hour and destroyed the evidence which the Registrar of Motor Vehicles gave to the court stenographer to, so that they would not have to come out with an indictment of manslaughter.

Carr: So the court accepted that he was going 20 miles an hour even though all the evidence, even by the Registry of Motor Vehicles, which was controlled by a sympathetic Democrat, Richard McLaughlin indicated he was going between 35 to 45 miles an hour

Farrar: ...he finally was bullied into putting down 20 miles an hour...

The Soviet era memo showing Ted Kennedy working against American interests (American Thinker)

Some would go farther and say that the memorandum from Victor Chebrikov, the top man at the KGB that was addressed to Yuri Andropov, the top man in the entire USSR, outlining a secret proposal made by Senator Ted Kennedy to the Soviets to help them "understand Reagan" in return for their help in making him president, constitutes treason.

It's not a word to throw around lightly and the reason I refrain from using it is because I am unsure Kennedy's actions meet the definition.

Kennedy was not in direct contact with Andropov, using his good friend John Tunney, former senator from California, as a messenger boy to deliver the proposal to the Soviets. And he wasn't proposing to betray any secrets.

At the time this memo was first released (1992), it was completely ignored by the American press. But I vividly recall reading about it when Paul Kengor published his book The Crusader: Ronald Reagan and the Fall of Communism.

There was a brief firestorm on the internet with Kennedy supporters pointing out that it was possible that Tunney - a notorious loose cannon - could have concocted the whole thing without Kennedy's knowledge.

Kennedy office issued a statement saying that the interpretation of the memo was "way off the mark,"....

...but didn't deny its authenticity.

Mark Steyn: Things only a Kennedy could get away with (ocregister)

Things only a Kennedy could get away with And by not calling his bluff on Chappaquiddick, Americans became complicit in it.

We are enjoined not to speak ill of the dead. But, when an entire nation – or, at any rate, its "mainstream" media culture – declines to speak the truth about the dead, we are certainly entitled to speak ill of such false eulogists.

In its coverage of Sen. Edward M. Kennedy's passing, America's TV networks are creepily reminiscent of those plays Sam Shepard used to write about some dysfunctional inbred hardscrabble Appalachian household where there's a baby buried in the backyard but everyone agreed years ago never to mention it.

In this case, the unmentionable corpse is Mary Jo Kopechne, 1940-1969. If you have to bring up the, ah, circumstances of that year of decease, keep it general, keep it vague. As Kennedy flack Ted Sorensen put it in Time magazine:

U.K. Used Lockerbie Bomber as Bargaining Chip for Oil (The Sunday Times) BRIT LIBERAL GOVERNMENT DO THE BLOOD FOR OIL DANCE)

The British government decided it was “in the overwhelming interests of the United Kingdom” to make Abdel Basset Ali al-Megrahi, the Lockerbie bomber, eligible for return to Libya, leaked ministerial letters reveal.

Gordon Brown’s LIBERAL government made the decision after discussions between Libya and BP over a multi-million-pound oil exploration deal had hit difficulties.

These were resolved soon afterwards. The letters were sent two years ago by Jack Straw, the justice secretary, to Kenny MacAskill, his counterpart in Scotland, who has been widely critizised for taking the formal decision to permit Megrahi’s release.

Japan’s ruling party headed for defeat (UPI)

TOKYO, Aug. 28 (UPI) -- Japanese voters are expected Sunday to vote the country’s Liberal Democratic Party out of office for the first time in 55 years.

The latest Kyodo news poll indicates 35.9 percent of voters are planning to back the opposition Democratic Party of Japan, an increase of 3.3 percent over last week, The Daily Telegraph of London reported Friday.

Prime Minister Taro Aso has been portraying his opponent, Yukio Hatoyama, as inexperienced and says he is trying to win over voters with promises that are impossible to keep.

Obamacare for illegal aliens, revisited (michellemalkin.com)

The more the Democrats deny it, the more obvious it becomes that Obamacare will of course cover illegal aliens.

I said so last month. And now
GOP Rep. Lamar Smith of Texas, citing a new, non-partisan Congressional Research Service report, says it again:

“Democrats can keep claiming all they want that illegal immigrants will not be covered in this bill. But their actions speak louder than their words.

Democrats have rejected opportunities to close the gaping loopholes in this health care bill that will allow illegal immigrants to participate.

“If President Obama is committed to ensuring that illegal immigrants do not benefit from the bill – as he says he is – why not include the same verification mechanisms in this bill as already exist for other federal benefits programs?

“What’s more, the bill contains no provisions preventing illegal immigrants from participating in the Health Insurance Exchange that is to be created, including the government-run “public plan” that will be available through the federally-run and federally-subsidized Exchange.

This is in direct conflict with the President’s claim that illegal immigrants will not be insured under his plan.

“The American people are more intelligent than the President gives them credit for.

They understand that simply saying illegal immigrants can’t participate without providing verification is like putting a speed-limit sign on a road, then setting a policy that prohibits police from patrolling the road; it won’t stop speeders, and this bill won’t stop illegal immigrants from benefitting.”

Letter: Campaign allure dims post haste (Uselful idiot has buyer's remorse, now agrees with Sarah)
(The Rome News-Tribune)

I voted for Obama because he promised change. I wanted to see George Bush and Dick Cheney sent to prison for the crimes they committed, but Obama gave them a free pass.

I wanted to see the bailout of London and Wall Street thieves reversed, but Obama continued the same policy. I wanted to see America restored as the industrial power it once was, but Obama did nothing. I wanted Obama to say that as an industrial power, we could afford good health care for all, not health insurance, and the Congress would have the same health care as the people.

President John Kennedy said, “We are going to the moon, not because it’s easy, but because it’s hard.”

Obama bailed out the parasites with trillions of dollars, then told us that we had to cut back, and we couldn’t afford health care.

Sarah Palin correctly described part of his plan as a death panel to decide who lives and who dies.

Obama lit the fuse that caused an explosion of rage seen at the town hall meetings. The jury is back on the Obama presidency, and he is guilty of betraying the American people. NEAL COUCH, Rome

Clinton rumbles, CNE event planning crumbles (National Post)

In a speech delivered under the blazing sun in a half-empty soccer field, former U.S. President Bill Clinton reminded his Canadian audience the developing world still needs our help organizing functioning systems to alleviate poverty.

But some of the nearly 12,000 sunglasses-sporting and beer- and water-swilling spectators left the controversial event feeling the Canadian National Exhibition organizers are the ones in need of help with systems.

Like hundreds of other hopeful-spectators in the snaking event lines, Sinead Kennedy, 28, of Ireland, waited more than an hour under the hot sun only to be told over loud-speaker that tickets were sold out at 4:40 p.m, despite empty seats continuing to litter the centre stands at BMO Field.

Stands on the side of the stage were empty through the speech, although seats before the stage were filled.

"This is the most disorganized event I've ever been to," she said, after arguing with a ticket salesperson over whether she and her friends would be reimbursed their $15 CNE admission fee.

"After being turned away, I walked around to peak in and saw Mr. Clinton speaking to an at least half-empty stadium. That's outrageous."

Broadcast TV Revs Down 12.8% (Broadcasting & Cable)

Broadcast TV ad revenues were down 12.8% in the second quarter vs, the same qurter in 2008, according to TNS Media Intelligence/CMR data released by the Television Bureau of Advertising.

Local broadcast TV revenues (spot TV) were down 26.3% to $2.7 billion, while network TV was down 6.9% $5.86 billion, and syndication was down 1.5% $1.09 billion.

For the first half, spot TV was down 27%, network 5.8% and syndication only .7%.

Leading the spot TV slump was automotive, which was down 54.5%, with dealership advertising down 43.6%. In fact 24 of the top 25 ad categories all showed reduced spending from second-quarter 2008, with only legal services ticking up slightly (up 1.6%).

Among local broadcast TV's top individual advertisers, only four increased spending. Among the top 10, there were only two gainers.

Not surprisingly, none of those were car companies, which make up four of the top 10. Honda was down 16.5%, Ford dealers were down 43.8%, Toyota was down 50.2%, and Chrysler plummeted 73.8%.

Newspaper slump deepens as 2Q ad sales fall 29 pct (AP)

Newspapers' financial woes worsened in the second quarter as advertising sales shrank by 29 percent, leaving publishers with $2.8 billion less revenue than they had at the same time last year.

It's the deepest downturn yet during a three-year free fall in advertising revenue — newspapers' main source of income. The magnitude of the industry's advertising losses have intensified in each of the last 12 quarters.

The numbers released Thursday by the Newspaper Association of America weren't a shock, given the dramatic erosion mirrored the advertising losses that the largest U.S. newspaper publishers already had reported for the April-June period.

Still, the statistics served as a stark reminder of the crisis facing newspapers as they try to cope with a brutal recession and advertising trends that have shifted more marketing dollars to the Internet.

Obama Cuts Off Aid to Honduras

Over His Misreading of the Law,
The news that President Obama will cut off aid to our ally Honduras did not make many headlines this week but it should have.

Barack Obama is openly siding with Marxists Raul Castro, Hugo Chavez and Daniel Ortega in punishing the government of Honduras.

The Obama Administration is about to cut off humanitarian aid to Honduras, one of the poorest countries in the Western Hemisphere.

Earlier, the Obama Administration blocked travel to the United States by the people of Honduras.

Both actions are foolish responses to a recent ruling by the supreme court of Honduras refusing to approve the return to power of the country’s bullying ex-president and would-be dictator, Mel Zelaya.

Zelaya was earlier arrested by soldiers acting on orders of the Honduras Supreme Court, replaced by his country’s Congress with a civilian successor, and forced into exile.

Zelaya’s removal came after he systematically abused his powers: he sought to circumvent constitutional term limits, used mobs to intimidate his critics, threatened public employees with termination if they refused to help him violate the Constitution, engaged in massive corruption, illegally cut off public funds to local governments whose leaders refused to back his quest for more power, denied basic government services to his critics, refused to enforce dozens of laws passed by Congress, and spent the country into virtual bankruptcy, refusing to submit a budget so that he could illegally spend public funds on his cronies.

Senator Mike Enzi (R-WY) delivered the GOP Weekly Address today:

"The Dem's Health Bills Will Raid Medicare & Cut Hundreds of Billions of Dollars From Elderly"

SNIP

“According to the non-partisan and independent Congressional Budget Office, the House and Senate bills will actually drive up heath care costs.

The Congressional Budget Office also says that the Democrats’ bill will significantly increase our nation's deficit.

“Take a minute to think about that.

“The Democrats are trying to rush a bill through the process that will actually make our nation’s finances sicker without saving you money.

The American people are growing increasingly concerned about out of control spending in Washington that’s leaving us with trillions of dollars of debt.

“These bills also raid Medicare. This will result in cutting hundreds of billions of dollars from the elderly to create new government programs. Savings from Medicare should only be used to strengthen Medicare.

WaPo Vindicates Cheney
Oh, what a bitter pill this article must have been (http://mypetjawa.mu.nu/)

After enduring the CIA's harshest interrogation methods and spending more than a year in the agency's secret prisons, Khalid Sheik Mohammed stood before U.S. intelligence officers in a makeshift lecture hall, leading what they called "terrorist tutorials." ...

...These scenes provide previously unpublicized details about the transformation of the man known to U.S. officials as KSM from an avowed and truculent enemy of the United States into what the CIA called its "preeminent source" on al-Qaeda.

This reversal occurred after Mohammed was subjected to simulated drowning and prolonged sleep deprivation, among other harsh interrogation techniques.

Of course, the Post tries to vitiate their sins against the Left by quoting some of KSM's hollow bravado:

"During the harshest period of my interrogation I gave a lot of false information in order to satisfy what I believed the interrogators wished to hear in order to make the ill-treatment stop. I later told interrogators that their methods were stupid and counterproductive. I'm sure that the false information I was forced to invent in order to make the ill-treatment stop wasted a lot of their time," he said.

Yeah, sure, whatever. Methinks you sang like a canary after being subjected to a "torture" so horrid that smelly hippies performed it as street theater at anti-war protests.

Dan Rather to Headline $200-a-Person Fundraiser for The Nation Magazine (Newsbusters)

Former CBS anchor Dan Rather will speak at a $200-a-person fundraising event for the hard-left Nation magazine in New York on September 23. The Nation’s website advertises: "Meet Dan Rather, Jane Mayer, Marcy Wheeler, and Katrina Vanden Heuvel and Help Save The Nation." The panel’s discussion topic?

"What Will Become of the News?...A conversation on the future of news."

Let's guess the verdict will be it's too corporate and conservative.

Rather’s clearly now traveling in the strongest circles of the hard left:

Jane Mayer spent seven years attacking Bush as an un-American tyrant, and wrote a book on "How the War on Terror Turned into a War on American Ideals."

Marcy Wheeler’s best known for her blog posts for the the Bush-hating blogs Daily Kos and Firedoglake on the Plamegate trial of Cheney aide Scooter Libby.

Rather's infamous producer on the phony-documents Bush story, Mary Mapes, was a featured celebrity on The Nation's Alaska Cruise in 2007.

Rather’s routinely traveled far and wide over the last few assailing the media for needing a "spine transplant."

So remember that Rather is also a powder-puff specialist when it comes to questioning top Democrats.

Even on HDNet, when he was granted an interview with Barack Obama in April of 2008, he battered him with such tough inquiries as "do you pray?," whether he reads "mostly fiction or non-fiction," and

"More than any other thing, what rubs you in terms of the lie told about you or a misstatement about something you've done?"

He also asked Obama: "How do you stay outside the bubble, how do you get outside the bubble, not stay outside?

How do you get outside, or do you?"

Obama May Have To Break Tax Pledge
(Washington Post)

During last year’s campaign, President Obama vowed to enact a bold agenda without raising taxes for the middle class, a pledge budget experts viewed with skepticism.

Since then, a severe recession, massive deficits and a national debt that is swelling toward a 50-year high have only made his promise harder to keep.

SNIP

"The administration is very concerned about these [future] deficits, and getting those deficits under control is a top priority of the administration," Orszag told reporters this week as he rolled out a new economic forecast that added $2 trillion to deficit projections from 2010 to 2019.

Treasury Secretary Timothy F. Geithner and White House economic adviser Lawrence H. Summers have both delicately sidestepped the tax question on Sunday talk shows.

Orszag has also refused to discuss what steps Obama might take to reduce the deficit in the budget blueprint he will present to Congress in February. But budget analysts say he has few real options.

SNIP

With more than 80 percent of federal spending devoted to politically untouchable programs such as Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid, he said, "it’s going to be really hard to make significant headway on the spending side. So that means you’ve got to think about taxes." …

L.A. Times’s Bob Drogin Blown Away by Poignant Funeral for Murdering Senator PATTERICO

In a story that does not mention Ted Kennedy’s role in causing Mary Jo Kopechne’s death, his sexual assault of a waitress, or anything else unfavorable about the lovable scamp who left a woman to drown while he dried out (figuratively and literally), the L.A. Times today informs us of Sen. Ted Kennedy’s very, very, very moving funeral.

We are not told of how a child was exploited to move ObamaCare. But we are told that “deep loss pervaded the cold, rain-lashed morning” under “doleful gray skies.”

We are assured that Teddy’s “triumphs and tragedies had touched and inspired many around the world.”

We are told that Obama delivered a “moving eulogy” and that a singer delivered “a heart-stopping rendition of Schubert’s ‘Ave Maria.’”

Is the McCatchy DC Bureau finally getting it? Check this out from today's stories - a story that questions Obama! Here's the first few graphs. (www.McClatchydc.com)

WASHINGTON — At the dawn of the Barack Obama era, the promise of hope has faded. America's public square is an angry and bitter place.

Finger pointing and yelling at town hall meetings this summer are signs of a country that's been building toward a boiling point for several years, stressed by a fast changing economy, a flood of immigration and threats at home by terrorists.

It's a land at turns frustrated and irate at a government that led them into an unpopular war, proved itself inept at helping its citizens in a disastrous hurricane, presided over an historic economic collapse, then went on a spending spree that could commit their country to decades of crushing debt.

Untold numbers of Americans seethe with anger at Obama and his fellow Democrats, resentment coupled with fear even more intense than the rage other Americans expressed just a year ago at George W. Bush and the Republicans. One telling sign: The comparisons of the president to Hitler remain the same — only the face has changed from Bush to Obama.

"It's ugly," said independent pollster John Zogby. "Ugly and sad because there were many of us who felt the ugliness could be transcended this time."

RANGEL UNTANGLE (DC MOVE TO SAVE TAX-CHEAT CHARLIE (NYPost)

House Democrats are willing to rally around Rep. Charles Rangel in his latest spate of tax missteps -- but only as long as no more embarrassing revelations come to light, sources told The Post.

The head of the powerful Ways and Means Committee last week amended six years' worth of financial disclosure forms and revealed he'd earned $1.3 million in previously unreported income.

That's on top of ongoing House Ethics Committee probes into four other areas of Rangel's financial past -- including failure to properly report income taxes on a Caribbean villa he owns.

But unless the Ethics Committee probes hit Rangel with something more than a slap on the wrist -- or a bigger scandal arises --

Democrats are unlikely to push him off the Ways and Means Committee, a Washington insider said.

"He doesn't strike me as someone who would go quietly, and he's not afraid to play the race card on his own party," the DC source said.

Friends like House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, members of the Congressional Black Caucus and the New York delegation are committed to keeping Rangel in place, sources said.

"Unless he's done something absolutely insane that hasn't come out yet, he's protected," said a Democratic official.

A mother with a son in Iraq clutching an American flag. But just as sad? The flip-flops. Mourners also sported short-shorts, undershirts, dirty tees, and many pairs of infamous Crocs. It was a Casual Friday gone horribly wrong, as if everyone's destination was Fenway Park, not a public casket viewing at the Kennedy Library.

10:03 AM Did you say Medicare? Medicare?

Oh yeah, Medicare. That is the program you guys want to raid in order to start your national socialist program to support all the slackers and illegal aliens.

Not in my lifetime commrade.

Not necessary to fund universal health care. Start by using the money now spent on insurance company marketing, insurance company profits, clerks in hospitals, doctors' offices, and insurance companies to process paperwork, and spending to cover emergency care for uninsured. If more is necessary, the patriots who have benefited most from the opportunities afforded them by this country should be happy to pay a little extra in taxes to help their fellow Americans --- as well as to gain security for themselves in case their fortunes change.

Protesters at the town hall meetings want tort reform. How can the Democrats ignore their demands in favor of special interest lawyers? I thought Oboob was going to end all that?
Bwhahahaha

She should do some research on Van Jones or Rep. Diane Watson some time.

Here's the Youtube video of Comrade Carol attempting to deny Obama's communists. She failed miserably.

P.S. She also attempts to deny that there are any Czars.

All the Czars that do not exist.

That is one way to circumvent the constitution, I will give him that.

All the government programs need to be tweaked. The fraud in every program is sickening. Like the IRS allowing Democrats to not pay their taxes. Now we read, Ted Kennedy's estate may decide he lived in Florida to pay less taxes, but he held office in Massachusetts. ALL programs need to cut out the fraud. Any mention of health care without tort reform is a sham reform.
Now there are fears that Obama will use the IRS against those that oppose him. I fear everything Obama does!

Rumor has it, the little prince is sending out his wife to take his hits. That head slam Mizhell took exiting Air Obama was just to toughen her up, so to speak.

I suppose now that Ted is gone we will have to consider a bail out for the liquor industry.

At least Ted subsidized them with his own money or, at least, money he stole honestly as a U.S. Senator. Sigh.

Remember just before the 04 election, an anonymous CIA employee wrote an article to embarrass President Bush? Now, the CIA is greatly diminished by Obama. It makes me think of the saying, “Be careful what you wish for.”

It's Almost Torture to Watch Leon Panetta & the CIA's Slow, Steady Decline
New York Daily News ^ S.E. CUPP
Poor Leon Panetta. It's hard not to feel bad for the guy. If the Obama administration is like one big, elaborate stage production of "Chicago," Panetta is playing invisible Amos Hart - "Mr. Cellophane" - to sheer, translucent, forgettable perfection. In less than a year, Panetta's CIA has been reduced to irrelevance and Panetta himself has either been ignored or emasculated by the very folks who were supposed to be his biggest supporters. For taking on a thankless job that typically only gets attention when there's a massive failure, this is the thanks he gets?

Tort reform works, Fred Barnes explains:
Caving to Trial Lawyers: "Tort reform works. Texas is a good example. In 2003, the state enacted caps on noneconomic damages (so-called pain and suffering) and added a requirement that lawsuits be approved by a panel of medical experts. Over the next four years, premiums fell 21 percent, the drift of doctors out of the state was halted, and 7,000 new doctors set up practices."

Didn’t the Kennedy Sham-a-lot fortune begin with bootlegged whiskey?

I wonder if the rogue CIA agent that leaked his phony guts out to hurt President Bush is so proud of himself now. The CIA has taken a leftist slant just like the State Department. If they go down the tubes, it could only be a good thing. I see Sec. Clinton is doing wonders for the State Dept. these days, as the shrillest old hagbag in the world. Obama has effectively buried her forever.

Kennedy historia, Ed Klein is suggesting the bulk of Teddy's estate will likely go to Vickie's children by another marriage, rather than Teddy's kids.

DCCC Executive Director Brian Wolff released the following statement today on Rush Limbaugh's outrageous comment that by the time the debate on President Obama's health care plan is over, "it'll be called the Ted Kennedy Memorial Health Care bill."

"Rush Limbaugh's [reprehensible remark] that, 'before it's all over, it'll be called the Ted Kennedy Memorial Health Care bill' is truly outrageous."

Too funny, he didn't consult the blinkless one first.

There’s plenty of money left from what joe kennedy bootlegged, stole, then hid it in off shore trusts for the next generation of worthless spawn.

Plus, teddie’s ex must deserve something for putting up with the drunk, impotent, murderer for all those years.

But then isn’t she up for teddy’s comealot senate seat? Never mind
