McClatchy publisher says ad revenue has stabilized over the past six months

Dave Zeeck, publisher at The News Tribune, says ad revenue at his paper is lower than last year, but has stabilized since April.

"The first quarter of this year was very tight, and the business was unpredictable. And advertising in every month has been substantially less than it was last year. But since April the advertising picture -- and hence our bottom line -- has stabilized and gradually but steadily improved, at least in terms of meeting and exceeding our revenue targets."

McClatchy reports 3rd quarter earnings next Thursday.
