Honestly. Why would a liberal columnist of a liberal paper bother to tell, or start telling the truth about an important story? It greatly goes against the McClatchy grain?

McClanahan? A liberal? Bwahahahaha!

Most interesting that he sited George Monbiot at all. For those that do not know who he is, he is the inspiration for the term Moonbat.

This leftist glow worm has said so much outrageous and insane Anti Ameican/Anti Western shit that Osama Bin Ladin considers him a cousin.

For him to admit the gig is up, well, that is equal to Algore admitting that polar bears are thriving.

But since McClatchy is so hard left, I assumed they would simply and immediately do the DNC talking point thingy?

In other words, at least for this one article they are reporting the news?

It is so not like them. This is the part I am having trouble with?

***But since McClatchy is so hard left,***

Anyone who says McClanahan is "hard left" hasn't read anything he's written.

Tom is The Star's one conservative on the editorial board. He obviously has to be very sensitive about what he writes to keep his job, but he occasionally ventures out on topics like this.

Given the composition of the editorial board and management of the paper, every, and any, column can be a minefield.

Give credit where credit is due. You try keeping your job as a conservative on a Stalinist newspaper.

========
If the King of the Moonbats had not declared the gig is up, McClanahan never would have gotten away with mentioning it.

As it is, they're burying the story in their news so his little commentary will never see a wide audience. It's a token mention, that is all.
