White House Visitor List Reveals Ayers, Other Terrorists and Radicals Not just Idle Acquaintances (Flopping Aces)

You are unlikely to find a sorrier rogues gallery than Obama's guest list!

Did you ever wonder who were the folks who got all those special invites to the White House since the Obama's turned it into party central?

The White House released the list. Here are some highlights...

•Two visits by William Ayers, the Weatherman terrorist whose group bombed the Pentagon and who said he wished he had done more. Remember Obama told us all that Ayers was "just some guy in the neighborhood" back in Chicago. What a liar!

•Two visits by Angela Davis, former Communist Party candidate for Vice President and found innocent of kidnapping and murder of a judge.

•Four visits by failed Presidential hopeful John Edwards. No word on whether he shared grooming tips with Obama.

•Five visits by Steve Elmendorf, head of the Congressional Budget Office. Wonder if Obama was doing some arm twisting to get CBO to whitewash the Dem's health care plans?

•15 visits by Kim Gandy, head of the National Organization for Women. But no time on the schedule for General McChrystal, our commander in Afghanistan!

•Five visits by Jeff Immelt, CEO of General Electric. No doubt Jeff had to pick up those billions in stimulus funds himself.

•Five visits by Michael Jordan. Basketball is so much more important than governing a country.

Obama names 110 White House visitors

The White House on Friday released a small list of visitors to the White House since President Barack Obama took office in January, including lobbyists, business executives, activists and celebrities.

Though the information out so far is incomplete. Only about 110 names —and 481 visits —out of the tens of thousands who have visited the Obama White House were made public…

Under the Obama White House’s policy, most names of visitors from Inauguration Day in January through the end of September will never be released.

Some of the (real) names on the list:

Corzine (Democrat) campaign staffer arrested on drug charges (NY Post)

An official with New Jersey Gov. Jon Corzine's re-election campaign was arrested last night after cops found found ecstasy tablets wrapped and ready to be sold in his car, police said.

Jason Shih, 25, was pulled over by East Rutherford cops at about 11:30 p.m. last night because he was talking on his cell phone on Route 17, said Lt. Chris Conforti of the East Rutherford police.

Officers wound up finding 19 "blue star" ecstasy tablets in Shih’s car, each wrapped in its own little plastic bag.

WABC Scrubs Corzine Campaign Aide's Drug Arrest From Website
Early Saturday morning,

7Online.com, the website for ABC's New York affiliate WABC-TV, reported the previous night's arrest of Jason Shih, an alleged campaign worker for Governor Jon Corzine (D-NJ) charged with "possession of a controlled narcotic and paraphernalia that is used for distribution."

For some reason, although the headline "Corzine campaign worker arrested" shows up in a Google News search, the page is no longer available: "We are sorry, but the URL you requested could not be found. The page you are looking for may have been renamed, moved, or deleted."

A search of "Jason Shih" and "Corzine" at 7Online.com did not produce a new article concerning Shih's arrest.

Fortunately, the website Drug Policy Central captured the 7Online report for its readers.

SNIP

Corzine spokeswoman Elisabeth Smith said Shih is not on the payroll of the campaign or the New Jersey Democratic State Committee, and that the campaign doesn't know who he is.

The 7Online report said Shih was "an Assistant Deputy Director."
If that's not the case, should they have removed the article completely or issued a correction?

NYT's Zeleny Again Involved in Obama Story Scrub

Bloggers and their readers have "joked" about the New York Times being the official house organ of the Obama White House.

Maybe it's not a joke.

Earlier this month (as seen at NewsBusters; at BizzyBlog), several bloggers caught the Times making significant changes to its initial coverage of Chicago's humiliating loss of its bid to host the 2016 Summer Olympics, and of President Obama's involvement in that loss.

The first Times report by Peter Baker was fairly harsh, questioning the President's judgment in getting involved, while citing his slipping poll ratings.

After Times organ grinder -- er, reporter -- Jeff Zeleny got a hold of the story, most of the harshness went away, as did Baker's original story.

All of a sudden, at the same URL, there was no reference to tarnished presidential prestige.

A dismissive assertion that the embarrassment "would fade in a news cycle or two" appeared. There was also a mention of Obama's 25-minute meeting with Afghanistan General Stanley McChrystal that was not in the original. The reference to falling poll numbers also disappeared.

Well, the Times has just pulled a similar stunt in its coverage of President Obama's Wednesday night/Thursday morning visit to Dover Air Force Base. Once again, Jeff Zeleny is involved.

SNIP

In a real sense, it matters little whether the ultimate cause of these memory-hole treatments is actual White House pressure, a perceived need to stay on the administration's good side to retain access, or simply a bunch of apparatchiks like Jeff Zeleny voluntarily carrying out what they think is their duty to present Dear Leader in the best possible light. The result is the same: slanted, biased, prettified pseudo-journalism.

If the Times is concerned about why its daily circulation is over 7% below that of a year ago and has dropped to 923,000 from 1.038 million just two years ago, it could start by asking itself how throwing away first drafts of history can possibly be considered legitimate.

Mark Steyn: Obama makes Bush his blame czar (Orange County Register (CA)Mark Steyn

It's now Obama's war, his jobless rate, his debt, etc.

Valerie Jarrett announced the other day that "we're going to speak truth to power."

Who's Valerie Jarrett? She's "Senior Adviser" to the president of the United States – i.e., the leader of the most powerful nation on the face of the Earth. You would think the most powerful man in the most powerful nation would find a hard job finding anyone on the planet to "speak truth to power" to.

But I suppose if you're as eager to do so as his Senior Adviser, there's always somebody out there: The Supreme Leader of Iran. The Prime Minister of Belgium. The Deputy Tourism Minister of the Solomon Islands.

But no. The Senior Adviser has selected targets closer to home: "I think that what the administration has said very clearly is that we're going to speak truth to power.

At some point the Caesar cult has to manifest itself in an achievement – I mean a real achievement, not merely some dud prize handed out by Norwegian Lefties.

Afghanistan is his now: Notwithstanding "years of drift," whether it winds up as victory or defeat is his call. It's Obama's war. It's Obama's economy. The stimulus bill is his stimulus, and for $787 billion it created 30,000 new jobs (according to the government) or (according to the Associated Press) 25,000.

Either way, you do the math. It's Obama's unemployment rate, Obama's dollar, Obama's debt. Pace Valerie Jarrett, the truth is you are the power. And those on the receiving end of it are going to be speaking a lot louder in the months ahead.

Valerie Jarrett was married to the son of Vernon Jarrett who was good friends with Frank Davis — both communist.

The Bowman and Jarrett families were very close and Valerie Bowman married Vernon’s son.

It gets even better, Jarrett’s mother was friends with Tom Ayers, father of Bill Ayers. It all is beginning to fit together the more you look into relationships.

It looks like Obama was groomed by Frank Davis (communist) and introduced into the Chicago scene by the same person (Davis originally came from Chicago).

Until I did the research on Tom Ayers, I never knew he was a major player in IL politics.

Huge Texas Wind Farm's Turbines Will Be Made in China (popsi)

Clean tech has seen a boost as the U.S. pours government funding into renewable energy, and China looks set to reap much of the benefits.

Latest example: a Chinese wind-turbine company has just become the exclusive supplier for one of the largest wind-farm developments in the U.S. The Shenyang Power Group has signed on to supply 240 of its massive 2.5-megawatt wind turbines to a 36,000-acre development in West Texas.

The Wall Street Journal reports that the wind farm is also slated to receive $1.5 billion in financing from the Export-Import Bank of China.

How Detroit, the Motor City, Turned Into a Ghost Town (Guardian News and Media Limited) DEMOCRAT RUN FOR 50 YEARS

The city that was once one of the wealthiest in America is a decrepit, often surreal landscape of urban decline.

It was once one of the greatest cities in the world. The birthplace of the American car industry, it boasted factories that at one time produced cars shipped over the globe.

Its downtown was studded with architectural gems, and by the 1950s it boasted the highest median income and highest rate of home ownership of any major American city.

Culturally it gave birth to Motown Records, named in homage to Detroit's status as "Motor City".

Decades of white flight, coupled with the collapse of its manufacturing base, especially in its world-famous auto industry, have brought the city to its knees.

Half a century ago it was still dubbed the "arsenal of democracy" and boasted almost two million citizens, making it the fourth-largest in America. Now that number has shrunk to 900,000.

Its once proud suburbsnow contain row after row of burnt-out houses. Empty factories and apartment buildings haunt the landscape, stripped bare by scavengers.

Now almost a third of Detroit – covering a swath of land the size of San Francisco – has been abandoned.

The city has a shocking jobless rate of 29%. The average house price in Detroit is only $7,500, with many homes available for only a few hundred dollars.

Not that anyone is buying. At a recent auction of 9,000 confiscated city houses, only a fifth found buyers.

Detroit is now $300m in debt and is cutting many of its beleaguered services, such as transport and street lighting.

Media smothered poll brings sobering bad news for Barack Obama: We don’t like him or Congress! (The Collins Report)

On October 16, the results of a Harris Interactive poll on Barack Obama were quietly posted.

Because it was bad news for him, it was released on a Friday afternoon so it could be buried on Saturday and you would miss it.

The report started with some blunt language, “President Obama may have won the Nobel Peace Prize, but unfortunately, he is not winning accolades from the American public as his job approval rating continues its downward slide.”

Numbers tell the story
Americans have run out of good will toward Obama. We don’t like what we see in him.

In September we were evenly split (49/51 against him), but in October 2293 adult respondents expressed a clear 45/55 bias against Obama.

Of course Democrats are more supportive than Republicans by 77/14%, but Independents have soured on Obama and side against him 40/60.

Obama has lost the youngest Americans (18 to 32). The group which supported him 66/34 has all but abandoned their hero and now barely supports him 51/49.

Seniors whose support for Obama was unenthusiastic last November at 47% are now fully convinced he’s not the man they want running our country. Seniors are against Obama 39/61%.

Congress slipping toward 2006 and 2008 approve/disapprove numbers
A very sobering 84% of Americans see the job performance of the Democrat controlled Congress negatively.

Right track/wrong track as viewed by average Americans falling as well Harris reported the number of Americans who think our country is on the wrong track has continued moving downward.

In August those saying “Right track” was 46%. In September the same survey found 42% thought we are on the “Right Track” but by October that group had fallen to just 39%.

While its findings were higher, The Wall Street Journal’s “Right/Wrong Track” at 36/52 isn’t much different.

White House “Created or Saved” a Million Jobs & Lost 3.3 Million Since Stimulus Passed (GatewayPundit)

BS Alert: The White House today claimed today that President Barack Obama’s economic stimulus plan has so far saved or created more than one million jobs.

The US unemployment spiked from 7.6% to 9.8% this year under Obama… the highest rate in 26 years.

Chart from the Bureau of Labor Statistics- via Sweetness and Light
Obama promised with the Stimulus Bill the unemployment rate would not go over 8% but the unemployment rate is currently at 9.8%.

In reality the US has lost 3.3 million jobs since the Obama-Pelosi stimulus act passed.

More… This is not a good sign for the White House…Even the state-run media is questioning their bogus numbers:

Dems/NYT Out Karzai’s Brother As ‘CIA’ (Sweetness-Light)

From a suddenly and selectively outraged New York Times:

Brother of Afghan Leader Is Said to Be on C.I.A. Payroll

KABUL, Afghanistan — Ahmed Wali Karzai, the brother of the Afghan president and a suspected player in the country’s booming illegal opium trade, gets regular payments from the Central Intelligence Agency, and has for much of the past eight years, according to current and former American officials.

Mr. Obama and the rest of the Democrats and their minions in the media really want Mr. Karzai’s rival to win.

What do they expect the other candidate, Mr. Abdullah, is going to do for them?

The financial ties and close working relationship between the intelligence agency and Mr. Karzai raise significant questions about America’s war strategy, which is currently under review at the White House.

Oh, yes. This revelation may make us have to re-think the lives and treasure we have poured into fighting in Afghanistan.

Gosh, if Karzai’s brother is involved in the opium trade, maybe the attacks on 9/11 weren’t so bad after all.

By the way, doesn’t the Taliban practically fund its entire operation through its heroin sales?

Where is Mr. Obama’s outrage about that?

Of course it is a bit the ironic to see a George Soros puppet, like Mr. Obama, pretending to be incensed at drug dealing.

Mr. Soros has spent billions trying to do away with most if not all of the laws against drug use.

And Mr. Obama seems to be following his lead as best he can in this country.

Whiner in chief -- Obama blames Bush for every ill (The Washington Times)

President Obama is degrading the Oval Office. In recent months, his administration has engaged in puerile, partisan attacks on his predecessor, former President George W. Bush.

Nearly every problem in America - the economy, health care, financial regulatory reform, Afghanistan, Iraq and Guantanamo - is being blamed on Mr. Bush.

For example, White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel recently hinted on CNN that Mr. Obama's indecision regarding sending more troops to Afghanistan was caused by his predecessor's inept policies.

"It's clear that basically we had a war for eight years that was going on, that's adrift," Mr. Emanuel said. "That we're beginning at scratch, and just from the starting point, after eight years."

The same perverse logic applies to the protracted recession. "I don't mind cleaning up the mess that some other folks made," Mr. Obama said at a fundraiser last week.

"That's what I signed up to do. But while I'm there mopping the floor, I don't want somebody standing there saying, 'You're not mopping fast enough.' "

Bribing the voters of New Jersey: How Democrats like Corzine survive (NY Post)

With just two days to go, the New Jersey gubernatorial election has turned into a horse race among three candidates, a remarkable development considering that the incumbent, Democrat Jon Corzine, has huge unfavorable ratings. As one radio talk-show host put it:

“Who is voting for Corzine?”
The answer is simple: people who benefit from big government.

In a high-tax, big-spending place like Jersey, much of the burden of funding government falls on a narrow slice of residents who pay steeply progressive taxes, while the benefits of expanding government are enjoyed by those who receive more in services than they pay in taxes, or those who work for the government

Leading Climate Scientist: Cap and Trade Could Ruin US Economy
(northern broadcasting dot com)

BILLINGS- As debate over climate change legislation heats up on Capitol Hill, the Director of the University of Montana’s Climate Change Studies Program, and a co-author of a Nobel Prize winning report, says cap and trade legislation could ruin the US economy.

During a Wednesday morning interview with statewide radio talk show host Aaron Flint on “Voices of Montana,” Dr. Steve Running said any climate change solution needs to involve all nations.

“We have to have all the major nations in agreement on future progress,” said Running.
Running is a co-author of the Nobel Prize winning Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, and founder of the Climate Change Studies program at the University of Montana.

He added, “If the US passed a cap and trade and other countries did not, it wouldn’t work. It would ruin the US economy and it wouldn’t save the climate either.

So this is a global issue, the global climate statistics are global in nature, global carbon emissions are global in nature, and we really have to have an international consensus of what to do.

That is going to stretch our international diplomacy to its limit, there’s no doubt about that.”

Nonetheless, Running called on the United States to show leadership on the issue of addressing climate change, saying other countries will follow suit.

"Voices of Montana" is a Northern News Network talk show that airs statewide on more than a dozen radio stations each weekday morning.

Ed Schultz Attacks Joe Lieberman's Lobbyist Wife: 'Does the Word Whore Apply?'

How angry are ultraliberal talk show hosts over Joe Lieberman’s opposition to a government "competitor" in the health insurance system, the so-called "public option"?

Ed Schultz was mad enough Wednesday to get very personal with Hadassah Lieberman, the senator’s wife, who has worked for several DC lobbying firms. Schultz suggested she was a "whore." He said:

Now, the pillow talk in the Lieberman household in the sack had to be rather interesting, OK? You have got the wife working on behalf of the industry that's lining the pockets of the senator who has now come out against the public option. OK, look, how dumb are we? Is this a coincidence?

He asked: Does the word 'whore' apply? Are we there yet?
