Petraeus and Crocker credit Iraqi civilians

General Petraeus and Ambassador Crocker, seen above testifying before Congress, took the unusual step today of issuing a joint statement. In the statement, Petraeus and Crocker credited the Iraqi people for the decline in violence in Iraq. US troop casualties and civilian deaths dropped dramatically during September, falling to the lowest levels in one year, according to the AP. Read the AP story here.
