Mark Finkelstein at NewsBusters.org calls NBC out: Is Iraq still in a Civil War?
Nearly a year ago, Matt Lauer took to the aiwaves to announce NBC was now calling the conflict in Iraq a Civil War. He bragged that NBC was joining McClatchy in a public break with the Bush Adminstration. Both organizations, Lauer said, believed the conflict in Iraq had moved far beyond sectarian violence. Developments in Iraq have changed drastically over the past year. Will NBC and McClatchy publicly admit Iraq is not in a Civil War?
