Here's another story McClatchy won't tell you about

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is making progress toward completion of the Basrah Children’s Hospital, one of the highest profile, most complex projects undertaken by USACE in its four years in Iraq.

The hospital is being constructed as a 94-bed pediatric tertiary care referral hospital with a focus on pediatric oncology. The hospital is intended to support the population of southern Iraq, including Basrah, the country’s second largest city. It will also be used as a training center capable of improving and expanding the training of health professionals throughout Iraq.

You think McClatchy will tell you about news like this? Not going to happen, not as long as Leila Fadel is McClatchy's Baghdad bureau chief. Leila Fadel has said her focus is on victimized Iraqis, not on American accomplishments.
