Michael Totten: Fallujah update

Michael J. Totten has the latest from Fallujah. Amazing progess. At the end of 2006 there were 3,000 Marines in Fallujah. With the successes in Fallujah, all that remains is a skeleton crew of just 250 Marines. The above photo shows school girls walking home by themselves in Fallujah today. Not long ago, no children were out on the streets and schools were not even open. You think you'll see a story like this in McClatchy newspapers? Not likely. McClatchy doesn't do stories like this, because the Baghdad bureau chief, Leila Fadel, says her focus is on victimized Iraqis.
