Shares of The McClatchy Co. dropped 6.6 percent to a new 52-week low in trading Friday, as the newspaper chain continues to take a beating on Wall Street. McClatchy stock fell 77 cents to $10.99. 74 percent from its high of $41.72 -- and 83 percent lower than the $67.23 price on Jan. 4, 2005.
