It's almost embarassing to look at this picture. Bill Clinton is standing in the back of a pickup truck next to a rusting green 55 gallon drum. A small "Hillary" sign is in the window of the truck, and red white and blue bunting drapes over the side of the truck. Bill is in a suit. He is holding a microphone but from the picture you wonder if there are more than a handful of people there to listen. Across the street there are people hanging out, oblivious that just a few yards away is the man who used to be The Most Powerful Man in The World.

He was sitting alone at a card table with his back to a wall. There was a sign saying $6 or $8 or whatever for an autograph. Nobody was in line to pay for an autograph. I felt embarassed seeing Lou Brock like that. I remembered being a boy and watching Lou Brock on TV, with crowds roaring as Lou Brock stole a base or hit a double. Seeing Bill Clinton standing alone in a forlorn pickup gives me the same embarassed feeling.
Just like at the mall, it's almost too much to keep looking, so I move along.
