Top Clinton advisor says Superdelegates will decide election, Obama’s primary victories are "irrelevant"

FOX:

A top Hillary Clinton adviser on Saturday boldly predicted his candidate would lock down the nomination before the August convention by definitively winning over party insiders and officials known as superdelegates, claiming the number of state elections won by rival Barack Obama would be “irrelevant” to their decision.

Does the Clinton campaign realize the PR nightmare they are wading into? The Clinton people talk like the Demo delegate system is some kind of Soviet-style arrangement that is rigged for the party insiders. The last thing they should want is for people to get the idea Obama has been frozen out by a system prearranged to favor Clinton.

David Sirota at Open Left calls it a "potential trampling of democracy."
