This blog is mainly about the spectacular train wreck at The Sacramento Bee and its parent company, the McClatchy Company. But I also post about current events, the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, politics, anything else that grabs my attention. Take a look around this blog, hope you enjoy it.

Iraqi Army interrupts car bomb operation in Mosul... 4 IEDs located...
It looks like citizens in Mosul are turning in the bad guys. Acting on a citizen’s tip, Iraqi soldiers interrupted four suspected Al Qaeda terrorists constructing a car bomb near the al-Rissala neighborhood market in Mosul on March 9. The suspects fled and were not apprehended. In a search, four anti-armor IEDs were found hidden inside a nearby popcorn cart. The above photo shows US troops inspecting the vehicle that was designated for use as a bomb near the market in Mosul. (Photo credit: 1st Lt. Richard Ybarra, 115th Mobile Public Affairs Detachment.)
