Some groups in London aren't welcome: plan for 8,000-seat mega-church is turned down, but plans for huge mosque able to hold 40,000 are moving forward

This development will not be a surprise to people who have been paying attention to the multicultural movement. Last month, a government planning council rejected a proposal by a Christian group to build an 8,000 seat mega-church in East London. The council said the church would cause "too much congestion."

Meanwhile, a proposal by a Muslim group to build a gigantic Islamic center in London, capable of holding at least 40,000 people and up to 70,000 if necessary, seems to be on track for completion in time for the 2012 Olympics.
