This blog is mainly about the spectacular train wreck at The Sacramento Bee and its parent company, the McClatchy Company. But I also post about current events, the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, politics, anything else that grabs my attention. Take a look around this blog, hope you enjoy it.

US helicopters 2, Al Qaeda terrorists 0
Here's a very cool story about 2 terrorists and their bad luck while on a leisurely drive last week. After receiving intelligence about the location of terrorists operating in Mosul, coalition forces launched an operation targeting them. On Wednesday, coalition forces confirmed the terrorists were located inside a vehicle and directed a precision helicopter strike. The strike was successful, as ground forces later confirmed two terrorists had been killed in the car. The dead men were identified as Abu Yasir al-Saudi, an Al Qaeda emir from Saudi Arabia, and one of his Saudi associates, known as Hamdan. al-Saudi is believed responsble for the bombing death of 5 US soldiers during January.
