Dem superdelegate admits Dems lied about ending the Iraq war so they could win back congress in 2006

Paul Kanjorski is a Dem superdelegate who has endorsed Hillary Clinton. A Democratic congressman for 25 years, he has had an unremarkable career in politics and he usually goes unnoticed - until this week. On Thursday a video of Kanjorski was posted on YouTube. In the video, Kajorski says the Dems "stretched the facts," and misled the public about their plans to end the Iraq war, so they could re-gain control of Congress. Here is the video:

The transcript:

"I'll tell you my impression. We really in this last election, when I say we...the Democrats, I think pushed it as far as we can to the end of the fleet, didn't say it, but we implied it. That if we won the Congressional elections, we could stop the war. Now anybody was a good student of Government would know that wasn't true. But you know, the temptation to want to win back the Congress, we sort of stretched the facts...and people ate it up."
Kanjorski admits the Dems engaged in the most cynical kind of deceit to gain power. And they were counting on voters being too gullible to know the Dems couldn't deliver what they were promising. Imagine the national outcry if a Republican congressman admitted George Bush lied to win election. It would be major news and the Dems would be demanding investigations. But so far the mainstream media has ignored Paul Kanjorski's stunning admission. Are reporters to afraid to ask Nancy Pelosi about her cynical pledges to end the war?
