Minnesota Star Tribune called "corrosive force" in the community it serves

PowerLine's Scott Johnson has a must-read piece today on conditions at the nearly-bankrupt Star Tribune. He focuses on the Star Tribune's shabby treatment of its only conservative columnist, Katherine Kersten. Scott won't be sad if the paper goes belly-up:
The Star Tribune provides a sad illustration of how a newspaper can become a corrosive force on the political and civic life of the community it serves. The financial difficulties of the Star Tribune prompt the thought that the Twin Cities and the state of Minnesota would be improved by the paper's demise.
