DVIDS: Sgt. Dennis K. Derr II (left), Section A leader, Mobile Assault Platoon, Weapons Company, 3rd Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, Regimental Combat Team-1, dismounts his vehicle to begin a night patrol May 13. Derr and his section of Marines are deployed well away from their higher command near the city of Fallujah. The tight-knit group makes patrols through Amariyah, Ferris Town and surrounding areas, working with Iraqi Police and Provincial Security Forces to halt terrorist activity.
