A coverup in Chicago?

Clues about Barack Obama's mysterious relationship with radical anti-American bomber Bill Ayers could be revealed in papers housed at the University of Illinois -- but the university blocked a reporter from seeing them on Monday.

Obama worked with former Weatherman bomber Bill Ayers for several years at the Annenburg Challenge, a community group Bill Ayers co-founded. There are hundreds of Chicago Annenberg Challenge records housed at the Richard J. Daley Library of the University of Illinois at Chicago. Stanley Kurtz had an agreement to view the papers, but the day of his appointment he was told he could not see the papers.

Hmmm.

Tom McGuire weighs in here. The AP has done an initial story. Steve Diamond has much more.

You think there is something to hide?
