Leftist deserter Robin Long, who AWOL'd from the military in 2005 and fled to Canada, is facing 3 years prison in a military court martial.
The 25-year-old was arrested in Canada last October on a Canada-wide warrant, and was deported to the US in July. He is being held in the El Paso County Jail, near Colorado Springs, Colorado, awaiting the military court martial.
Long is the first war resister since the Vietnam War to be forcefully deported from Canadian soil and handed over to military authorities.
