Anbar Province turned over to Iraqis, McClatchy's Baghdad bureau AWOL on the story (bumped)

Anbar Province has been turned over to the Iraqis. No news about that important milestone on McClatchy's Iraq web page.

Of course, McClatchy reports on every "grim milestone" that involves deaths of US troops.

UPDATE 1:09 PM: Al Jazeera has this:
Anbar province, the scene of some of Iraq's fiercest fighting, is being handed over to local forces.

The US army started its gradual handover on Monday, in what will be the 11th province out of 18 to be transferred to Iraq.

Still nothing on McClatchy's Iraq web page.

It's pretty embarrassing when Al Jazeera reports more good news from Iraq than McClatchy does.
