Hey Modesto -- how is your Bee today? (2nd update)

From comments:

it is 6:10 am and I still do not have my new and improved Modesto Bee.
Leave feedback/info in comments.

Updated 8:00: The new Mod Bee isn't getting rave reviews:

I received mine @ 7:25 am, I opened the bag and there was a strong smell (new ink) The new look was OK not many changes - The color quality was not the same. I almost needed 3D glasses to look at the color photos they were so out of registration. I guess Sac doesn't have same quality control as Modesto did. The BW photos looked muddy and flat.

2nd update 10:28: More unimpressed subscribers:
The photos look like crap, crap, crap, color and b/w. some of the color ads are so out of registration you can't even read what the ad is...

One thing sac will never touch is how great modesto was with there off times. We got the paper off before 2am 99.9% of the time. Have fun with that one sac.

Welcome to Sac Bee Press operations, where registration and saturation isn't a quality control issue -- it's a new feature.

Oh Wow ...what a paper indeed. The photos look like crap, crap, crap, color and b/w. some of the color ads are so out of registration you can't even read what the ad is, I can hear the phones ringing, write off. I hope the registration and saturation gets better!! I only have one thing to say can the name be changed to THE MODESTO/SACURATION BEE.

Got mine after 7:00...so much for deadlines! ALL the color pages with out exception were WAY out of register especially the yellow. Some by as much as 1/4 inch! Looks like they had problems with balancing the black ink. Some were washed out (ink emulsified) others were too heavy and set off. Emanuel Medical center ad looked like the doctor in the photo had a liver problem...way too yellow. Another ad on a corresponding page was so far out of register I couldn't read it. I hope the advertisers ask for a write off. I removed my Bee box (spiders, ants, dirt and all)and took it with my paper and another paper I got off the rack and delivered them in person to the Bee (I had to pick up my FINAL PAY CHECK anyway) and canceled my subscription! ANON 7:51 had it right...include 3-D glasses with every paid subscription! Perhaps Mark Vasche thinks the color looks good because he sees everything through rose colored glasses!

DAY TWO...The several people I know who still subscribe said the same thing...late deliveries...after 7:00...crappy print quality (the ones I saw on the stand look awful)...McClatchy strives to rise to the top of the mediocrity pile and is succeeding "beyond their customer's expectations". I could only hope that Mark Vasche reads this blog.
