Miami Herald misses major Joe Biden story, even though reporter was at the event

In a south Florida appearance Tuesday, Joe Biden made a statement that reverberated around the world, but McClatchy readers weren't told about it -- because a McClatchy reporter who was there didn't report it.

Here's what happened. Answering a question from the audience, Biden said an Obama adminstration would pursue criminal charges against the outgoing Bush administration -- Biden added the prosecutions could even include President Bush. This is shocking because it has never been done by any administration in American history. You'd think the McClatchy reporter would realize that was newsworthy.

McClatchy may have missed the story, but fortunately, other reporters caught it:

UK Guardian: Obama might pursue criminal charges against Bush

NewsRadio 1290 has the video:

FYI, Biden is now pretending he didn't make the statement:

Asked if Biden and Obama plan to pursue criminal charges against the Bush administration -- as ABC News and the Guardian newspaper reported -- Biden said the report was not true.
Maybe that's a story for McClatchy.

Guess you're hard of hearing. Or do you already know of some criminal violations committed by the present administration?

Re-run the video on your blog and you'll hear Sen. Biden's comments on what will occur IF warranted by the results of the investigations by the House and Senate Judiciary committees and the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform...
"If there has been a basis upon which you could pursue someone for a criminal violation they will be pursued ... out of the need to preserve the notion that no one, no one, no attorney general, no president; no one is above the law."

I don't have a problem with that. I doubt most citizens have a problem with that. Do you have a problem with that?
