This blog is mainly about the spectacular train wreck at The Sacramento Bee and its parent company, the McClatchy Company. But I also post about current events, the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, politics, anything else that grabs my attention. Take a look around this blog, hope you enjoy it.

Outsourcing is not going to save McClatchy. The company overbid for KRI by apprx. 2 billion dollars. So they must now realize the screw up??
They now are rehiring at the Midwest paper on the same day they cut 30 employees. The new bunch makes a third of what the others did. Can you believe it? We couldn't. On the same day mind you.
At the KC Star they are forced to hire temps to keep up with the work after outsourcing some of their ad services employees to India. Ad service employees have been working 12 plus hour days & weekends due to short staffing

The State loses 8 (2%) in advertising, circulation and production.

Please replace your word FORCED with the word PLANNED. It's all in the plan just like the numbers are.
