The Wichita Eagle has announced that 16 of its employees have accepted voluntary buyouts. Six more will be laid off.
In a story posted Tuesday on its Web site, the newspaper said the buyouts and layoffs amount to a 6 percent reduction in its work force. The newspaper didn’t specify where the cuts would be made, and no one was available to provide details.
This blog is mainly about the spectacular train wreck at The Sacramento Bee and its parent company, the McClatchy Company. But I also post about current events, the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, politics, anything else that grabs my attention. Take a look around this blog, hope you enjoy it.
