Two McClatchy reporters who covered a McCain rally at Wilmington, N.C. yesterday might as well be working for the Obama campaign, for all the editorializing they included in their report.

Interviewing people at the rally, reporters Rob Christensen and Ryan Teague write this:
Among McCain's supporters, there were clearly doubts about Obama's personal associations.
Celeste Avery, a 33-year-old Democrat who supported Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton in the Democratic primary, is backing McCain because she doesn't trust Obama.
"There are too many crooked ties," said Avery, a small-business owner from Wilmington. "I don't want a president who's tied to Ayers, Farrakhan and Wright."
To make sure McClatchy readers understand Avery's fears are baseless, the reporters reach for talking points from the Obama campaign to add to their report.
Avery was referring to William Ayers, a 1960s anti-war radical turned professor who hosted a campaign event for Obama early in his political career and with whom Obama later served on an charity board; Black Muslim leader Louis Farrakhan, whose anti-Semitic comments Obama has denounced; and the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Obama's former pastor, whose racial provocations Obama has disavowed.
Isn't that special. We're sure the Obama campaign appreciates the helpful work these McClatchy reporters are doing on behalf of Barack Obama.

Another fact: The reporter's name is Ryan Teague Beckwith.

Oh my... Anonymous @6:11 is sensitive. Make sure you put that on your resume. I am sure most 22 year old managers at McDonald's will be as impressed with that as they will be with that journalism degree.
