More complaints about the Modesto Bee - updated

Hey it rained last night - it's 8:35 am and I still have not received my Saturday paper, & the 800 phone number is busy - I can not get through. How long will the customers wait for their morning paper? Or better yet how long before they cancel?
I'm the ano @ 8:38 - it's now 9:11 I just received my paper!
HAHAHAHA and this is light rain. Imagine a thunderstorm or better yet fog. What a joke!
Friday's Bee was not so funny...seems they left out half of the comics...They printed the missing comics in Saturday's paper. Friday's comics are in the Scene section which is a tabloid format. When we printed it in Modesto the Editor in charge of it would come to the press room to get copies and check them right away. The last week we printed it we joked with her that it is a long way to Sacramento to check copies for errors. And the print still looks like a crossed eyed baboon was working the controls.
Perhaps Sat. MoBee was late because they were waiting for the final football scores? Do the delivery trucks have "runFlat" tires...you know, just in case the "CHP" has to laydown tack strips for a high speed chase or something (if you know what I mean)...JUST KIDDING!!!
The comics fiasco has nothing to do with the Sacramento operation at all. The pages from Modesto are transmitted to Sacramento where they are filmed, plated and go to press. As for a "cross-eyed baboon" working the controls, Flexo is as much a "no-brainer" for a pressman as is making a paster. It takes NO skill to set the ink because you don't have to and anyone can register a page in seconds. We'll see what happens when you "pressman" get out in the real world and have to work for a living. The "award winning" press crews had an easy time of it when their competition was old converted letter presses that printed Flexo. And who gives the award? I'm sure it's either vendors or press manufacturers that obviously have something to gain from your award.
