Today my KC Star was delivered at 6:30 a.m. instead of around 5 or 5:30 a.m.. I couldn't take it to work with me because of the late delivery. I called to ask where it was and the rep could have cared less. My question is what is wrong with us that we put up with a paper that has VERY little content except sports and obits?
I would recommend you try the Star's online edition -- except news items posted there might be several weeks old. (Also see here.)
UPDATED: From comments, seems this is a typical response from reps at the KC Star:
That is kind of the response you get from KC when any questions arise.

That is nothing. Wait and see the grief they give you when you try and cancel that fish wrap.

Hey Bear....Bears eat stinky fish wrapped stinky newspapers....must be a midwest thing. We are more selective out here.
My paper is usually on time, but I've had to call on occasion--not a very responsive call center.
If you read their 'reader's reprsentative' blog, you will find he really has like to say things like "this very rude person on the phone had this complaint" then goes on to defend the paper.
Yep, I had that happen! They don't care.
