McClatchy shares fall to all-time low

McClatchy (MNI) shares fell 6 percent Monday, closing at $1.85 a share. A new all-time low was set just prior to close, when MNI dropped to $1.84 -- the lowest price for MNI since it debuted on the New York Stock Exchange in 1988.

The above chart shows the decline in McClatchy shares over the past one year.

My thanks to the McClatchy family for providing such a poor business model that selling your stock short for the past couple of years has proved to be a windfall that only dreams are made of.

My only regret is covering in the 1.90's but even I didn't really think you could drive it down to a dollar.

Please promote your great success in Web media across all your publications. I need a bump in the price to feel comfortable selling you short again. MNI is fairly priced for the first time since 1988.

After the news on what the KC Star did today we can only hope that the stock drops to nothing.....that's what the paper is worth NOTHING.
