More on the circulation collapse at the Miami Herald: there are 29,339 fewer daily subscribers than 6 months ago

Here's a closer look at the Miami Herald daily circulation numbers over the past 6 months:

Daily circulation as of 3/31/08: 240,223
Daily circulation as of 9/30/08: 210,884

That is a loss of 29,339 daily subscribers over the past 6 months. Unbelieveable.

According to Recovering Journalist circulation numbers started "Cooking the Books" last November.

They can count almost any copy printed as paid circulation and they still lost almost 30k "subscribers" in 6 months.

That's not good.
