Report: a number of veterans are leaving the Seattle Times

Last week the Seattle Times, half-owned by McClatchy, announced plans to eliminate 130 to 150 staff positions through a combination of buyouts and layoffs. The Daily Week is reporting a number of well-known reporters and veterans are taking buyouts..

  • Cindy Zetts, real estate editor
The Daily Week also notes average weekday circulation at the Seattle Times declined 7.7 percent to about 199,000 - the first time under 200,000 for decades.
